I went there with my family and on the website it says they’re open but they were closed I am very upset and I wish I could’ve given this place zero stars instead of one

Residents of Anywhere, But Especially Racine --If you're interested in authentic Mexican food in a warm environment, La Esquina Cantina is your go-to place!!!The owner, Mr. Ray, is a proud graduate of UW-Parkside (Go Rangers!), but his real specialty is creating an environment in which everyone feels welcome. The rich tones of the bar echo the gorgeous real wood on the front door (be careful: It can be quite heavy!!!), and the big screen TVs can enhance your experience if you want them to (the Bucks squeaking through Game 3 of the Playoffs was a treat from all angles). But the real treat is the authentic Mexican food!!! The taco "shells" (they're deliciously warm tortillas, as they should be), the tasty steak (put some mild salsa on top of your cilantro and squeezes (plural!) of lime), and the fact that you get four individual yummies in one order: Sublime!!! And don't get me started on the chips & salsa: They won't poke you in your gums (they're aren't supposed to, are they?), but rather they'll start to just melt in your mouth. The salsa verde is delicious, and as it should be, imho, not too thin and not too thick, with a taste that's flavorful, not hot.More importantly if, like me, you spent time on the "South Side" of something (for me, it was in the Polish enclave of Milwaukee, near Mitchell Street), then you'll feel right at home here. Sit at a table, sit at the bar: But don't forget your quarters for the pool table. Only four of them'll get you a game as cool as its name, just like in the old days, when I remember doing the same (albeit for only 25 cents back in the day) while visiting my grandparents. And feel free to bring friends and family: The atmosphere is one of kindness and friendliness, which's what this world needs a little more of, now that we're all starting to get out again. But if you'd rather eat on your own couch, watching a movie that you're streaming, know that you can take what you want home with their easy-to-use carryout service. So, if you want some good eats for a family night out, or a nice place to meet someone for the first -- or 50th! -- time, La Esquina Catina (which I have on good authority means "corner," and it truly is on a corner, natch!!!) is the place to go.Thanks for everything, Mr. Ray!!!

Friendly service and DELICIOUS steak tacos. My boyfriend and I have already been 3 times within the last two weeks because they are that good. A good atmosphere and drink selection as well. You have to try the guacamole and green sauce on the tacos as well. Big fans!!

La Esquina has friendly service. Their tacos are great. Unfortunately they have a very limited beer selection. They have a lot of space so this is a good place for gatherings with lots of friends. They have mixed drinks as well.
