This is a great local diner/breakfast spot. We came in on a Sunday morning for breakfast and loved it! Staff was incredibly nice and helpful, and took care of us well through our meal. I had the mushroom/swiss omelette and biscuits and gravy and they were great. Portions were large and reasonably priced. Note: it is cash-only but there's an ATM down the street.
We discovered Hometown Cafe when we moved to Rio in 2010. We have since moved from Rio but still come to enjoy their breakfast. The staff are always pleasant, the atmosphere is comfortable and the food is great!

Generous portions at reasonable prices. The pancakes are bigger than the plate their served on. If you leave hungry, it's your fault. Biscuits and gravy with 2 eggs is another full plate.
