Place could be great but is absolute trash. Overpriced for the quality they offer. Ran into a bitter bartender on twice occasions who only offers her time to "regulars" or people she prefers. So horrible service none the less. Thank God the bar in green bay still holds tribute for this place. Do not recommend the bar in wausau.

I will say the service really dampened the mood of the night for my husband and I. We were seated at table attached to a loud party, only divided by a fence, they were rude, not the restaurant's fault, but the seating arrangement was weird. We were asked several times if we had been served, no one once even asking for our drinks for thirty minutes. I saw a lot of waitresses washing down tables and talking to each other. No one looked that busy. I'm pregnant and my husband had just gotten off of a twelve hour shift, so we were both very hungry. Just to get a water took 45 minutes. My husband got a strawberry marg, which he said tasted good. I ordered the Buffalo Mac and cheese and that was alright. The appetizer platter left a lot to be expected. Very greasy but kinda stale tasting. A marg, water, Mac and cheese, and apps platter cost 40-45 dollars. We were initially there for a birthday party so we moved to the bar and eventually a table. Once the wait staff saw we were a full 6 people, they couldn't wait to take our order. Every five minutes they were handing us a menu, but we were with the party and they ordered pizza and more drinks. It was a great night with friends, but man was the wait staff annoying and I don't think I've said that at a restaurant for years.

Excellent dining experience. Was in town with friends from Dallas and Phoenix and we had incredible service and the food was amazing. Highly recommend the cheese curds.

Staff wasn't very friendly. Stuffing cabbage in your fish tacos to make them full and no sauce thus dry. Don't know if I'll be back...

I traveled from Oklahoma for the weekend and i had two experiences with this restaurant. First was a DoorDash. I ordered a pizza and it was excellent. The second experience was at the restaurant. I ordered a patty melt and tots. The patty melt was excellent as well. Both experiences were great and the food was definitely delicious! If I’m ever back up in this area, I WILL come back to The Bar. Great job guys!

Food was great, Waiter needs more training but was better then adequate, Children allowed to run amok between diners and causing noise wasn't acceptable.We watched a family of 15 total ignore 4 of their younger members -- 4 boys under the age of 8 -- run around the entire bar, among tables and wait staff, while the parents and other family members either ignored them completely or yelled out "Stop" or " Sit down" but did nothing to stop them. One of the younger children proceeded to hit his head on either a railing or table while the adults looked on and commented "Oh he hit his head." Their wait staff was carrying full tap beers on a platter at one point and the boys barely missed colliding with her. Management needs to tamper down on such activities before someone is seriously hurt. This ruined our dining experience.
