We wanted to support a local Black business and acted on a recommendation from a FB group. So glad we did, it was delicious!!! I ordered the ribs with a side of cornbread and greens, my husband got the smothered pork chops with Mac and cheese and baked beans. My ribs were fantastic - loved the smoky, spicy bbq flavor - and the meat was delicious. My husband enjoyed his smothered pork chops as well, great flavor. The sides were excellent, the portion size enormous. Not sure why more people don't know about this gem! Only tip would be to improve the website! We'll be back! Run, don't walk, to Jovada's Place!

Went here with my family and ordered to go. A family friend recommended the place, so we figured we'd give it a try! My dad and I shared the chicken wing and rib dinner so we could try the ribs and the chicken. Both meats were delicious and I would order either again, especially the ribs. I never like ribs, but these were fall off the bone and the BBQ sauce was the right amount and perfect complementary flavor. For sides we each got mac n cheese, I had greens, and my dad got fries. For taking them to-go they were cold when we got home, but I really enjoyed each of the three. I'd probably opt for another side over the mac n cheese next time. The inside of the establishment isn't a typical restaurant feel, but since it used to be a bar it makes sense. Coming in, it was not busy so the service was a little off with waiting to be helped and others who came in were not seated right away. Lots of restaurants don't make it long in Sheboygan, but I am hoping this one is here to stay for a long time!
