Very popular; parking was difficult. The food was nothing special, but there were decent wine choices. The halibut was overcooked and dry. The salad with cherries was overdressed with too much cheese. But we had a nice time.

Ambience was outstanding. Wine pours were generous, pricing was very reasonable. After ordering, we waited over 40 minutes for our waiter to check on our drink status. After an hour, we still hadn't received our food. Our server did not apologize at all or check on us until it was time for the check. It was my friend's birthday (which I had noted on the reservation and confirmation) but because we were so rushed, or because our server was uninterested, there was no acknowledgment. Based on what we saw at other tables, this was a one-off experience, but still disappointing.

Risotto had a wierd flavor along with the seafood pasta that smelled wierd. Had key lime pie, would swear there was lavender in it! But they said no. So I guess that's a wierd flavor too. Would not recommend unfortunately.

Wonderful seating and great dinner! Had the Friday fish fry. Perch and shrimp. Both excellent. Also came with cherry pie dessert. All for under $30. Ambience on the porch was special. Overall super evening!

Wonderful ambiance for a relaxing dinner. Our food was perfect, my tuna was cooked to perfection with delicious mango salsa. My husband's walleye was a generous portion and perfectly fried. Service was great even during a busy dinner evening. It's a great experience.

Food was exceptional as always. I had one of my favorite the perch dinner and my wife had the white fish. Service was fantastic. We dined outside bug free and couldn't have had a better experience. Same quality and service the last 7 fall seasons.

We had a 5:00 reservation this past Sunday. We sat at the bar for happy hour at 4:30. The happy hour old fashioneds were, unfortunately, not very good. They were not muddled and all of the bitters were at the bottom. We were sat down at our table and it took quite awhile for a waiter to come over. Our orders were taken and our first course came out promptly. Our dinners took a bit longer and one was incorrect. The person said it was OK that they would be happy with it as long as it wasn't ment for someone else. The waiter took it away and said the kitchen would make him a new steak. He waited 30 minutes for his meal. We were all done eating by the time he got his meal. The experience was ruined and no apologies were made until after we paid our bill and inquired about the delay. The manager said the server didn't give her the whole story. I believe the manager should have personally checked on the situation. We have gone to their sister restaurant Chop many times and they are always exquisite that's why we were excited to try Lure unfortunately we won't be back.

Our server, Brock, was excellent. I have been to this restaurant many times over many years'. The last time, about 3 yrs ago. In comparison, prices are up; portions are down. We had an appetizer order of fried zucchini. Pretty good, but could've used a more inventive dipping sauce. The walleye “fish fry” was good - moderately sized fillet, fries and excellent slaw; cold, small rye roll. The seafood pasta was deemed good by my partner. The prices, in my mind, deserve a little more creative approach on the part of the kitchen. The garden area is lovely, if weather permits dining there.

The staff at Lure are fantastic, super accommodating, and very personable. They were able to adjust our reservation time when our schedule changed. Food came at a good pace that allowed us to enjoy each course and not feel rushed. And to top it off, everything was delicious. Lobster bisque, calamari, salmon, crab cakes, key lime pie and cherry pie...it was all top notch! I would definitely recommend and we will visit again!

My husband and I eat here every time we come to Door County! The food is amazing! I usually get the seafood pasta but this time I tried the double lobster and frites- OMG Delicious!

Very cozy place. The service was good and everyone was friendly. Our only critique is the food and the specialty drink that we ordered lacked flavor. Everything cooked and prepared well but it just didn't wow.

Went there last night (9/1/24) for a late dinner; there were 6-7 open tables outside (where I wanted to dine); I asked for a table outside and the hostess (misnomer) advised me that there were no open tables (clearly not true and I pointed out this fact); refused to seat me. Yes, the place was busy but no mass of people waiting outside or at the bar for a table. She was obviously into her Power - snotty little TaNook. I went to Della Porta is Ellison Bay, where they will seat you when they have open tables. Food for Thought

The restaurant is very beautifully decorated and definitely looks very upscale. The food wasn’t memorable; not bad, just not wonderfully good, either. We had fast service but almost a little too fast. We were seated, served and out the door in about 30 minutes. Seemed like we were missing a dining experience and just being fed. Service was accurate but not very personable. For the price we expected something different. We enjoy fine dining in Door County and will probably dine elsewhere in the future.
