Holy hell this was good bbq. We had brisket, fried chicken, mac & cheese, coleslaw, and corn bread. Everything was so superb! Definitely be back for more, thank you for having such a great local bbq place in little ol’ South Milwaukee.

I'm a bbq snob.....this is probably the best wood smoked bbq in the city!! Their pork belly ??!! Ribs and brisket??. Truth is, do yourselves a favor get that Poppas Plate or the ITIS!!! Whenever I'm in Milwaukee I'm stopping by. These folks the truth!!! Food so awesome I dug in before I remembered to take a pic for this review. Forgive me lol

First time trying Atwood HWY BBQ and it was decent. The rib tip dinner was good, the rib tips were very flavorful and had great texture and with light sauce to allow the smoked meat flavor to come through. Removing the cartilage was a bit of a task, but wasn't terrible. It did leave only about 50% of the meat edible, but for the price was still worth it.The hot links were excellent and so much larger that I was expecting. the seasoning and sauce was superb.Loved the coleslaw flavor, some of the best in the area, and the corn bread was top notch too. The Mac n Cheese fell short though... flavorless, mushy and tasted like butter only. anxious to try some of the other BBQ items next time

Unbelievably good and authentic!! It's a great place working people can afford.
A weekend special appetizer jalapeños brisket twinkies are killer good!!! Should have ordered more. The beef brisket dinner had a subtle BBQ sauce over the top that didn't act like the star and complimented the brisket nicely. Easy to find and ample seating.
