I ordered 2 Belgian waffles and 2 eggs, fried hard. It being a small town they don't really know the difference between a Belgian waffle and a regular waffle, and the eggs had semi-runny yolks. Not the best breakfast, but the price was alright for the meal.

They have a happy and welcoming atmosphere. Charming and friendly staff. The food will make your taste buds thank you! Especially the banana walnut pancakes! The location is in the heart of some adorable shops & gallery's. So once you fill up on the amazing food, you can walk it off exploring & site seeing.I promise I'll be going back there as soon as I can. I HAVE to try more of the delicious dishes!I highly recommend checking it out!

Last time I was there it took a really long time for our food to arrive. My food was fine but one of my friends had a sandwich with very little in it. There were other customers who arrived after us that received their orders in a timely manner so I don't know why we had to wait so long. We were friendly and polite and all and still tipped generously. Also, there's a mentally divergent lady that worked there for over six years that was fired when the new owners took over. Apparently the other mentally divergent person was also fired. I only ate there because my meetup group met up there, otherwise I wouldn't patronise the place because that seemed very discriminatory to me. I have advised my group to find a different place to meet up in the future.

Very comfortable atmosphere. Servers were friendly and accommodating. Food was spectacular. This is one of my favorite stops when I am in town. A must go to place.

Very nice and friendly wait staff. But did tell us the soup of the day ( Borscht) was German, but searched it later and it was actually from Eastern Europe and Northern Asia. My cousin got the veggie wrap and I had the Caprese sandwich. Very good. I was being daring, and tried something I never had before. No regrets!

I've been here twice now since moving back to Stevens Point in 2020 and it is just less good than I remember. (For context, I previously lived in Stevens Point from 2004-2009). The food was mediocre both times-I went once for breakfast and once for lunch. The service was good the first time I went, but the second time our server was visibly flustered which is fine if they are still polite, but this person wasn't. He practically threw our food on the table and then messed up our bills at the end and told us to figure it out. I'm sad to see this place go downhill.

The food was fresh and delicious! Service was amazing and the atmosphere and building were great! But don’t tell people in Wisconsin Borscht is German… many of us descendants are German and we know what German food is. Borscht is Ukrainian or eastern European but it isn’t German. I heard it several times and winced every time it was sold as German.

The food was amazing!!!! Loved the Avacado toast! The staff was so kind, friendly, & very helpful! We sat by the fireplace! Always love a restaurant that is warm and inviting! Some places are so cold u have to wear your coat while u eat! Love that they offer gluten free! Forgot to ask if they had plant based butter.? We loved it at The Wooden Chair! ❤️

I was just in Steven's Point to pick up my girlfriend but we had lunch here. The coziest place to be on a quiet Christmas Day. The special was an omelet that had squash in it and it was excellent! I'd go back any time!

Omletp had veges in them that weren't cooked. Onions and peppers tasted raw. A cheese omlett had 1 slice of cheese over the top.. making the inside less cohesive. The veges fell out when you tried to eat them. Nice environment to have breakfast in. Pancakes were thick and dry. Not alot of flavor.
