We drove by here the other day and we chose to try it today. I am so happy that we did! We walked in and it was very spacious. There were 6 seats at the counter area. We opted for a little 2 seater as it was just my husband and myself. Our waitress was very attentive. She came over took our drink order and asked if we needed time to look at the menu. My husband chose to have coffee, an omelette and a side of corned beef hash. I had 2 eggs, potatoes and toast. For everything it was under $25 and that includes our tip! I enjoyed watching "grandma" in the kitchen. She was so fun to watch. She was fast, would yell out instructions, and watching her crack and whisk eggs. It was good food, good service, and a great place.

Very disappointing. We live locally and have been coming here for years. The restaurant changed hands about 3 years ago and the service has been on a consistent decline. Waitresses are rude and look as if they could care less if you sit forever (or in our case at least 20 minutes) without water, coffee or a menu. We gave up after finally getting coffee. She wouldn't take our food order. Said she'd be back. Nope! We left $5 and won't be back. There are plenty of other places to eat that give good service, good food and appreciate having customers.

I waited 30 mins just to take our order and get drinks. right when we were about to leave the server came to place oder. We waited at least 45 minutes for our order and lots of people already had food that came before us. they stated first come first serve is BS. if you know someone you will get seated first. food was ok had better. the server was grump. not coming back! felt bad for asking for anything she was so grumpy.

What an ecperience...had to ask 3 times for water.....ordered Chilli and was brought COLD Chilli with cheese and onions...I ask for them to nuke it then I hear the cook and waitresses making FUN of the now boiling chilli....this is the only restaurant that ONLY ACCEPTS CASH OR CHECK...... it is not something i look for these days...

I was hoping for a "local food spot" where one gets basic, great tasting home cooked food. This isn't it. At least not when we were there. Disappointed.

Would give 0 stars if I could. Waited over an hour to get our food and was told that's a "Door County breakfast". Ok? Several tables that came in after us had thier food before us and when we did get our breakfast, it was barely cooked. I'm guessing they forgot our ticket and had to made it fast. Eggs and hashbrowns were barley cooked. We waited probably 10 mins at least just to get menus, should have left then. Just avoid! There have to be better spots. Food and waitstaff sucks.

French Toast was excellent and dining area is wheelchair accessible which is nice! Be aware that they are cash only and a bank is across the corner. Nice simple diner for good simple food!

Our server and breakfast were amazing. The person who waited on us was really awesome with my egg allergy and was super helpful with other places to visit in town. She even looked up things on her phone to share with us. We’d highly recommend this place.

Waited an hour and half for food. They were short staffed but those staff were chatting with friends.

Great little cafe located right amongst the shops on the corner of 3rd Avenue. Awesome breakfast menu at very reasonable prices. Ordered the DC Hash breakfast. Yummy! Plenty of street parking. Inside seating , and they only accept cash!

Excellent service, menu could offer more vegetarian/ healthy options. I had the corned beef had with potatoes which was good but don't think made from scratch.

Basic breakfast fare. Family owned (new ownership in 2020).Friendly staff, quick to take order. Unfortunately our late June Sunday morning experience was very slow cook service. Nothing against the cook who was really working hard at the grill. Food was good but nothing extraordinary. (Sausage gravy was tasty, but sausage was scarce.)

Hit the spot. Took a walk down the main retail area and walked into this delightful little restaurant. My wife loved her hamburger ("it was delicious "), I had French Toast with blueberries and perfectly done crispy bacon. Waitress was wonderful and kind, owner came out to help. Would go again anytime.
