It was a very good meal. The prime rib was the best that I have had in a while, very impressed. I am a little disappointed that they did not have filet mignon, but they did well with the tenderloin. The lobster. It was slightly dry, but it was still good. I would certainly go back for the prime rib. It was that good... The shrimp cocktail appetizer was very good also.

My husband and I wanted a supper club on our weekend away. Made reservations at Donny's. It was off season and they were full, but we were lucky that there was a cancellation. We both ordered different type of steaks....they were cooked to perfection. The garlic mashed potatoes were melt in your mouth delicious, as were the vegetables. The dining room was so well laid out and beautiful. Gorgeous big windows looking out over the lake. Friendly and great staff. I highly recommend, especially for a date night. Pricey, but soooo worth it.

It was our first time at Donny's Glidden Lodge. The decor is very cozy. Large fireplace with a water view. The menu was simple but covered the basics. The food was delicious and the service very good. We will return to Donny's.

While offering a variety of choices the menu is not overwhelming and they've curated what they do best. Don't miss the german specialties night. (I believe Wednesday's) Service: Attentive without being obtrusive, they are there when you need them and gone when you don't. Ambience: There are great restaurants and there are great properties ...the Glidden Lodge is both. Nestled on a wooded beach front site with unimpeded views of lake Michigan you'd be challenged to find a more enchanting ,and romantic atmosphere in all of Door county. Note: Unfortunately what was once one of the Gliddens famous calling cards is no longer included or even offered. The famous Glidden salad bar was the definitive example of the genre, Two nightly soups, a selection of fresh greens and their accouterments with homemade dressings, fresh baked rolls/breads and a brief but articulate offering of deli salads. All of this impeccably executed and maintained every evening, alas it is no more.

I highly recommend Donny's Glidden Lodge Restaurant. The restaurant if I had to describe it was high class north woods. If you want to dress up you'll fit in. If you want to wear jeans and go casual, that'll work too. Our waitress was very responsive. The food was excellent. I have almost given up on ordering steaks at restaurants because I've had so many bad steaks over the years. I decided to give the filet mignon a try and did not regret it. It was excellent! I'll also say that my old fashioned was great also.
