Phenomenal roadside bar and grill. Small town service, small town feel. Very friendly and great atmosphere.

Went there on the way out of town with another couple and our families. The sign said open but the door was locked. A lady did come and open the door but then told us because of our group size that they would have to do staggered service - so meals would come out in 20 minute increments. When we agreed to that the woman then said, "Well I have to talk to my boss because you're gonna clog up my kitchen". You literally have an entire dining area. This place might be good for a small group but you can expect that the garbage attitude will probably be the same. Would never recommend to anyone. Take your business to a more appreciative establishment.

Went in for dinner on a Friday night. Had the fried cod dinner. The fish was cooked beautifully, it was very flavorful and the breading was light and crispy. This came with homemade potato salad, coleslaw, and rye bread, all were very good. The coleslaw was the best I've ever had. The service was fast and friendly. This is a cash only restaurant; however this is posted on the menu so you know before ordering.Parking: Nice large, free, parking lot, right next to the building.Wheelchair accessibility: Very nice ramp available

Super good burger, you can tell the bun was buttered and fried so it was a little crispy ?

Walked in at 130 with a group of nine, wasn't greeted and when we were,b received a sigh from the bartender and a "I guess". As a group we left and have never been treated that unwelcome in an establishment ever. Hope u loved loosing a 200$ bill, a $50 tip and thanks for ruining my daughter's

Last Friday we stopped in for perch. My wife referred to the perch dinner as the best one in Door County! Non greasy cornmeal coating on the perch, homemade tartar sauce, sweet sour coleslaw with rye bread. Absolutely fabulous.

Bowl of chili hit the spot on a cold day. Linda was very attentive and friendly. We enjoyed watching the packer game with a few regulars. Will be back!Parking: Plenty of parking this time of the year.

Stopped here for a quick bite to eat after a sightseeing our tour of Door County. Waited a while, but that's because of staffing issues (like most businesses). While we waited we each had a drink and chatted. The burgers were totally awesome, the fries were cooked to perfection, and a cup of homemade chili complemented everything. Very reasonably priced. A "must stop" if you're in the area.

Stopped for a few drinks and a snack. Quick service! In and out in 25 minutes! Drinks were cold, appetizers were hot!

Great food! If you want fresh food this is the place to go! This is NOT a fast food restaurant. The owner pats out all his own burgers. He gets renards cheese curds and hand breads them. All the soups are homemade! The chili is amazing. If you love BBQ ribs the sauce is homemade! My favorite thing is how clean the place is! You could eat off the floors in the kitchen. Also Linda makes a killer Bloody Mary!

My friend and I go up to Door County several times a year and saw the Roadhouse again yesterday on the way up and decided that would be our lunch venue today heading back to Green Bay. When we walked in we immediately noticed a couple at the bar that look like they had been fighting, the woman had a towel full of ice holding her face on the bar, her boyfriend or husband seem to be harassing her nonstop, there was another gentleman at the end of the bar I could’ve possibly had some kind of disability but was very loud and obnoxious yelling across the bar to us. Try to ignore that one the owner came out of the back and said “what can I get you?” Not hello ladies how are you today or anything of that nature just what can I get you. He proceeded to make the drinks in front of us grabbing handles of the coolers, sticking his fingers in the olives and pickles and squeezing the limes into our drinks with his very dirty fingernanailed hand?. Set the drinks down, bloody Mary spilling all over the bar that he never wiped up, grabbed the $20 bill threw the change back on the bar and never said another word. Our plan was to have lunch there but at that point we just wanted to get the heck out of there and no one even mentioned offering a menu. As long as this man is the owner I would never go back and my best friend agreed. Too many other great places in Door County that treat us well!

We stopped to have a drink...What A Mistake...owner was angry that he had to make our drinks...we were the only customers he had for over an hour...he talked politics the whole time...do not waste your time here...there are so many more places in Door County to patronize that appreciate having customers

I hate to have to leave a negative review for any restaurant, but if you're in the area and looking for a convenient place for lunch, you'll want to avoid the Roadhouse at all costs. We had been across the street at the Door Peninsula Winery and dropped into the Roadhouse for lunch. The food was passable, but the service was extremely slow - so slow that my wife kept saying we just needed to pay for our drinks and leave. It finally did arrive, a half hour to pull together fish and chips and a grilled chicken sandwich. I worked fast food back in my youth, so I know how long it takes to prep those dishes. The kicker came when it was time to pay our tab. The Roadhouse is cash only - no credit cards accepted. They have an onsite ATM that will nick you for a $3 service fee. After the slow service, and the fact that the "cash only" policy is not posted at the entrance, I withdrew $40 to pay our $37 tab. I put the two twenties on the bar. I figure the bar is making money off the ATM, so the ATM fee can come out of my tip, rather than my pocket. As I walked out I heard the waitress remark, "Oh, that's bulls**t!". What's bulls**t is running a business with predatory practices like this. They deserve every bad review they've gotten.
