Nice, casual place. Friendly staff. Burger with carmelized onions, blue cheese, bacon on the smaller side, but tasty. Matchstick fries are good. Grilled cheese is good, salad as a side was large and has a delicious dressing. The calamari is yummy! The French onion soup is very good. I will return!

I was invited to join a friends group at the chefs table. It was fantastic! Portions are small enough to enjoy a six course meal and you leave full! They accommodated the last minute notice of my Gluten free diet restrictions and I had two substitute courses that were just as fabulous as the rest of the group. Thanks for a lovely night and a wonderful experience in your kitchen.

Wonderful experience. Went to lunch with friends to celebrate my birthday.Very friendly atmosphere. Great service and tasty food. I recommend the Ultimate BLT and salad with French vinaigrette.

Good news and not so good news. Service was excellent. Oysters and the Burrata small plates were excellent My husband’s steak was excellent. The Belgian Chocolate Chip Cookies with ice cream and ganache, excellent. We were told the last time that if we wanted our wine chilled to let them know. They only keep their best wines chilled. We assumed they had a cellar temp wine refrigerator. We ordered a chilled wine. Nope, they keep their red wine at refrigerator temp, not cellar temp. They have lemon, airline, and chicken Marsala on the menu. I ordered the Marsala. It was the Airline Chicken with a demi glacé and mushroom. How disappointing! Come on, the wine was too warmed one time, too cold another, and you think you can pass off roast chicken with demi for Marsala and think won’t know the difference? I think I’ll only go to Chives for lunch from now on. Bummer.

The food and service is always top notch, but the price increases are starting to get out of hand, not to mention the bread and chive butter are no longer complimentary. I really feel like this is going to turn off many regulars that have come over the years. I’m sure I’ll still stop in, but will most likely limit it to special occasions only. I know wages and inflation have made it challenging for business owners, but this feels like a bit too much.

First time here and the bone in NY strip was phenomenal. We had the crab cakes and bread for me and my beautiful wife. The crab cakes were moist and cooked perfectly. The 7 grain bread and the French bread doesn't get any tastier. My wife had the filet cooked perfectly. The service was perfect. Drinks were full and wasn't always being bothered by the server. He was awesome. To end she had the cookies and ice cream and I had the banana cheesecake. If you've been thinking about going here please do you will not be disappointed. From Appleton it was about 10 minutes past cabelas and the stadium right off the hwy. We will definitely be back in the very near future.

Chives is one of my all time favorite restaurants. Cozy, intimate vibe and great service always. Every single dish is made with precision and high quality ingredients. The butternut squash ravioli is my favorite dish ever, yes ever, not just at Chives. I've also had the lemon chicken which is incredibly delicious. The bread they bring out before the meal is amazing with their signature chive butter. As for dessert, the chives ho ho is a must but the fresh, warm cookies with ice cream are delicious as well. Update: my review has now changed because of the recent updates at Chives. I am extremely disappointed that they have removed both my favorite dishes from the menu, the portions are now half the size, and the prices have increased tremendously. Additionally, the complimentary bread now costs $6. If it's not broke, don't fix it! I won't be returning sadly.
