After living in South Dakota for 20 years...where no one can make a decent pizza...I have been trying for the last couple of years to recover from "pizza deprivation." I think that last night's visit to Sugar River Pizza in Sun Prairie just about finished the job! My husband, son, and I went there 7ish. There were a lot of cars in the lot, but the restaurant is huge, so we got a table immediately. The hostess warned us that their chip readers were down, and we'd have to pay cash. We figured out that between the three of us, we had over a hundred dollars and hoped that would be enough or one of us would have to scoot over to the bank ATM when the check came. We ordered the wheat breadsticks for an appetizer, one Moscow Mule, on special for $5, two glasses of St. Michele Rieslings, and a large Amazon pizza, thin crust. Everything came to our table quickly, but as it turned out, we would have waited forever for that pizza! It was outstanding! The crust was perfect, the toppings were fresh, just the right amount of sauce and cheese. We ate all but two slices and took those home along with an order of their warm dessert beignets. Total bill, before tip, less than $70!!Please do yourself a favor and go to Sugar River Pizza ASAP. You will not regret it!

We shared two 14 inch pizzas and had plenty of leftover pizza to take home. We had the Yahara Chicken Alfredo and the Amazon Deluxe pizza with hand tossed crust. Crust was nicely cooked and just the right thickness (not too thin and not too doughy). For desert we had the French Silk pie slice, yummy! Service was fast at this Sugar River Pizza location in Sun Prairie. We had a great server too, thank you Pearl F! We thoroughly enjoyed this visit and the Pizza and service was great.

Possibly the best pizza in Madison. Can't tell you which of their specialty pies is my favorite, because so many of them are awesome. I will say that the chicken bacon ranch and the mapley bacon are fire.

After hearing some decent reviews, my better half and I decided to stop in when we were in the area. The location is definitely built for a crowd as it spacious but lacks any real charm. A very expansive tap list (probably close to 50) is notable. We were in the witching hour between lunch and dinner and our waitstaff was a little brusque. We ordered the stuffed cheese bread along with an amazon deluxe pizza. They were fine. Definitely not noteworthy or something we would purposefully come back for. An option if you were hungry and needed a quick bite or a few beers.
Awesome pizzas and cheese curds. Maple my bacon and taco pizzas were both excellent.

First off, this is not my first time at Sugar River. They also have a location in Verona Wisconsin not too far from Sun Prairie. This one is fairly new, and I like what they have done to this place. Nice inside clean wooden tables and clean restrooms. First, walking in the host and waitress was awesome. Matthew, our waitress was great. He came right on time, greeted us, and took our order. Our apertizer came out first, and the main dish took about 15 minutes. We ordered the Gouda bites, jalapeno poppers, crunchy chicken salad, and a Caesar salad. Everything was good to go. Fresh as always hot and just the best of flavor. The chicken on my salad was great. I really like the atmosphere here. I wish they would have had TVs and music going like the Verona location, but other than that, this place is legit and good to go.

Our server, he was amazing and checked in quite a bit to ask if we needed anything. Food was delicious as always. Your restaurants do not disappoint, no matter where we go to! I also love that pick up at this one is separate (game changer to Verona)!!!A little feedback on your hostess from Sunday. A couple of her interactions we could hear her say you were "short staffed" and "it is what it is" then walk away from your customers without really listening, addressing, or trying to accommodate or explain why their requests couldn't be met. Both parties could be heard discussing their dislike for how the situations were handled after they sat down, and we could tell their experiences started out negative. One group wanted to sit in the bar to watch the game (that had many open tables) and the second wanted a specific server. Maybe using better choice words and/or showing empathy and apologizing that this wasn't able to be accommodated would have made for a better customer experience.

We showed up at 5:30 on a very busy Saturday night. The parking lot was full and we thought it would be a long wait. It wasn’t. 20 minutes later we had our table for 6 people. The waiter was terrific (I am sorry I recall his name) and got our drinks quickly. Our pizzas were absolutely as delicious as I remembered from quite a few years ago in Belleville. 100% satisfied with our whole experience. Highly recommended.
