Awful service. Awful food. Maybe it was because it was December? Off season? Not sure, but it was atrocious. The restaurant and bar is beautiful though.

Staying for work. Im 1st week. First room pepperoni and candy on the floor. 2nd week in rm 127 much better only a dirty sink. I dont care that much but just telling you. Im booked for 4 more weeks. They had a great bartender "Shay" fun knows how to treat customers. I think she left. The other two are boring mindless morons. Jean and Emily . Not classy place but its a bed. Go to Holiday Inn

Server was extremely rude and never came back about refills of drinks or to ask if we wanted dessert. Pricey for that lack of service.

Always a great place to visit for a quick beer and burgers. They have a hotel to stay in if needed and Marina you can pull up to to refuel your boat, grab a bite to eat at their restaurant and if needed, indulge in a little land time.

We went there for Easter buffet, was not very impressed with the food and it was barely warm. We ate there in the past and never ever had any problems. But didn't feel like the buffet was worth the money.

Always a quality dining experience. Service has been great here for years. The restaurant and bathrooms are always clean and have now gotten a MUCH needed update. Highly recommend!Kid-friendliness: Always treat our littles with great care! Nice to have actual kids cups too!

Excellent food! The onion rings were crispy and hot, and the walleye dinner was perfectly seasoned and beautifully prepared.Dietary restrictions: A friend had dietary restrictions that were happily accommodated, with suggestions of workable substitions.

Stopped here for lunch. Not a bad little place . It's attached to a hotel. It's just normal bar food. Give it a try.

We’ve been going to Barker’s Island for decades and have always enjoyed it. Lately though, it’s nowhere what it used to be. We live in the Twin Cities now but come up north to see family pretty regularly and usually go out to eat at Barkers Waterfront Grille. We came up to celebrate a birthday and six of us went to Barkers on Friday 2/10/23, the restaurant was half empty. We arrived at 7 pm and were told by the flustered server that she was the only one on duty and there was only one cook and one bartender, and if we wanted to have dinner we should expect to wait 45 mins to an hour to be seated- and then however long after that to get our order taken and food delivered. I might expect this on a weekday, but Fri at 7 pm??? The server who met us with this news did NOT look happy to see our party of six, basically discouraged us from waiting- we did not feel welcome at all and also did not want to wait an hour to be seated in a half empty restaurant- so we left and went to Perkins which at least had wonderful service, though the portions were tiny. Anyway we gave our $125 +’a $40 tip to the Perkins server who was happy to see us even 15 mins prior to closing. Also Barkers used to have a great salad bar pre-covid but never brought it back after the “pandemic” ended. It’s like businesses use Covid after effect as an excuse to be lazy. The Barkers menu is also very small and with only a few offerings. Very disappointing- building is tired and in need of serious upgrades.

Horrible experience. Went there for a special birthday dinner and the waitress was so rude she literally ruined a special day for us. To top it off, the food was horrible. We ordered some of the most expensive items on that menu and the food was literally so disgusting we couldn't even eat it. I will never go back there again.

This beautiful restaurant has a calming effect that starts the minute you walk in. Floor to ceiling windows give great views of waterfront activity outside, that includes sailboats. The food is excellent and reasonably priced. The staff is courteous and wanting to please everyone.
