If I could give 0 stars I would. Ordered here for the first time tonight, hard cheese in the mozzarella sticks, onion rings were soggy, jalapeño poppers were a few pieces of diced up jalapeño inside of breading, cheese curds were sub par, the brisket was bland with very little taste, and the bbq sauce tasted like it was straight off the shelf from the grocery store. If you want good bbq from people who know what they’re doing order or go into Just Smokin it. I would NOT recommend this to anyone.

Ordered the juicy cheesy cheeseburger and it was delicious! The staff is super friendly and the food is reasonably priced. I will definitely be returning.

If you are feeling barbecue, you will not be disappointed in the food here! The barbecue sauce is the owner's recipe and it is delicious. Very friendly staff. Look forward to ordering from here again soon. Dropped 1 star because the cheese curds were a little salty.

We stopped here because every other restaurant downtown had a wait. When we walked in it was completely empty... We should've known better. Our order consistent of three burgers, ribs, and some chips and salsa. I ordered my burger medium well and it's came out very well done. The lettuce was wilted and the tomato was slightly soggy. The seasoning on the burger was overpowering and the fries were basically crinkle cut frozen fries. The ribs were gross and consisted of mostly fat and hard little pieces of bone. The best part of my meal was the diet coke. The server was wonderful and was apologetic about the food. Honestly if you want good pub food it's worth the wait to go to people's park or main stream.

Took a chance on 5 Joints for lunch while driving through downtown Waukesha one day, might give it another chance some Friday night for drinks and their live music, but not their food. Ordered the cheese curds as an appetizer. I'd say they were average, nothing really special but your standard fried cheese curds that you can get just about anywhere in Wisconsin. Initially was excited when reviewing the menu items and speaking to the server about the slow cooked meats and how the chef makes a special blend of spices and meats for the burger patty. However, when the burger came out I was very disappointed. The outside of the burger was verging on burnt, and the center of the patty was wayy overcooked and dry. Overcooked despite the server asking what temperature I wanted my burger to be cooked to, and me replying medium with some pink. To me a simple burger is a benchmark to test the quality of a restaurant, and this lunch trip severely missed the mark for me. The only redeeming quality to my dish is that you could actually tell effort was put towards curating the ingredients in my burger. The bun was high quality and the meat seemed to be of high quality and seasoned well, but the execution was lacking. More confusing to me, next to the quality burger ingredients you had the uninspired crinkle cut fries that likely were fried straight out of a freezer bag. As an additional strike, there were fruit flies present in the dining area which alludes to cleanliness issues. This is a newer business in the downtown area, and I hope they can improve in the future. Cooking the burger to correct temperature and consistent quality across all ingredients, such as your fries, would go a long way!

I'm not a big fan of vegan food, but if you are then this is the place for you. They are located in the heart of downtown Waukesha, just a block away from the Fox River. You can get some food and then just sit on a bench watching the river flow by.

We went for dinner on a not very busy Thursday night. We sat in the bar area, which has a huge garage door that opens onto the sidewalk, sheltered from sun and wind but still outside. We ordered fried cheese curds with drinks to start. They had a nice batter and we got enough to share. I had the taco plate, with three tacos with any meat or topping combo. The best was pork with fresh mango salsa. My dad got a huge portion of ribs, which were really moist and good. He also got a corn bread muffin, which arrived fresh from the oven warm. We shared a snickerdoodle cookie and a fudge brownie w ice cream for desert. Both were baked to order and so delicious I wished I had my dessert first. We peeked in the main dining room, which was really big and featured bright murals. The prices were quite reasonable and the service was awesome, so I think we'll be going back for Friday fish fry soon!

Went for lunch - new hours, so that might be the reason we had the place to ourselves. Had the pulled pork sandwich and the small lettuce salad as my choice of "sides". All nice quality and fresh. Friendly waitstaff. Lunch menu and prices were the same as dinner menu, which is why I gave it 4 stars rather than 5. Clean place. Easy street parking during the weekdays.

Five Joints is an excellent addition to the Downtown Waukesha dining scene. Our meal top was top notch. Mouthwatering BBQ and some of the friendliest service that I've ever had. I recommend the chicken wings and beef brisket. Is it too soon for me to come back? I'm hooked!
