Got and cheese , sausage, and onion panza and all the onions were on one side. Made me gag all that onion I had in one bite. But I'll still give another shot.

Now, here's why I gave this place 5 stars on everything. My order was called in. Drove to get it, which isn't a hop, skip & jump from where they're located to where I live. Now, I get there & my order wasn't ready. Probably waited for about 1/2 or more. Yes, this place is busy! Unfortunately for me, my craving was on a particularly, most busiest day.Moving forward. The order came out & they called my name. I have to be (completely) honest here. I'd ordered 2 ponza rottas total. They gave me 2 bags. I didn't even think about it when I proceeded to grab them both. Drove all the way back home & the 4 boxes of ponzas I received were not mine. I proceeded to call them & explained everything. The individual at Jimmy's told me to just keep them (all) & would refund my credit card. This place was extremely accommodating. They admitted they made a mistake & refunded me the entire order. Furthermore, I asked me if I wanted them to (remake) the order? I did decline that request, but I did thank the individual on the phone for the offer. This is how customer service should be!

We had a 2 hour wait for take out, then our order was wrong and lukewarm. (We only live a mile away!) I want to go back to the old Jimmy’s Grotto where orders took half an hour and they were right and hot when we picked them up!We again picked up food from the Grotto. The pizza sauce has been changed to a less flavorful type. The Italian sausages in my sandwich had no flavor at all. We don’t plan to order from the Grotto again. Again we feel that the old Grotto recipes were so much better!

This was a door dash pickup. They obviously are a good business based on the fact that they were exceptionally busy but they have no efficient process for door dash orders. The amount of time we spent waiting was unbelievable. The cashier was very slow and this was just not a happy experience. I was so glad once it was over.

A Waukesha institution. Call ahead to order because they are frequently very busy. Leave your credit card at home because you're using cash. Order a Ponza Rotta because deep frying a calzone is brilliant. They have great Italian sausage, pizza, and anything that can be deep fried. But after having a Ponza Rotta, you'll wonder why anything else is even on the menu. Wash it down with a High Life. If you take medications to keep your cholesterol in check, you may want to consider taking a larger dose. Nobody will pretend that this is the place for healthy food.

My first time eating there the other day my wife took me as an early bday and anniversary gift. I loved it their food was stuffed and filling. Also worth the prices they charge for their items too. I will eat there again for sure.Kid-friendliness: The cashier was kind and they were very prompt about having my call in order ready when they said it would be ready.

Omg. We stopped here on a whim as we'd heard it was a Waukesha institution. Well, if it was meant as in a run down, mental hospital cafeteria, I guess that's correct. After sitting down to a 40 minute wait for the signature ponza rotta, it became abundantly clear that we should have surveyed reviews for the place first. Seems like maybe at some point it was a well run, well liked place. But the shake machine was down, half of the soda fountain flavors inoperable, even the soap and towel dispensers were out of order in the bathroom. It appeared as though the place was still under some sort of renovation- not an improvement, but simply restoring the place to the condition it was in before someone's body was thrown through the drywall. After quenching my thirst with a poorly mixed, flat Mountain Dew, my Taco Ponza Rotta (or should I say Rotten)was finally ready to pick up at the window. I bit into the admittedly delicious crust only to find that half of the item was filled with air, half with what I can only describe as essentially what would result from someone vomiting a taco bell burrito into an oversized hot pocket. Maybe we just caught this place in a slump. Maybe people are sentimental for the place. Idk. It's got late hours, and the prices are cheap. That notwithstanding, I'm giving it a HARD PASS.update: STILL a ZERO. They have coupons that can only be used in very isolated situations.... I ordered to try them again anyway and it's basically a pastry diarrhea of meat. it tastes disgusting and I would never recommend this place to anyone. the love for this place has to involve geographic loyalty. the food is EMPIRICALLY bad. they don't honor their own coupons. it's a MESS of a place. would unRECOMMEND 500x. I have no idea why people visit this place. the food is garbage, the service is deplorable, and they don't even honor their own deals. I've tried this place multiple times over 3 years because it's supposedly a staple of Waukesha. and every time it's a complete waste of time and money.unless you are drunk and desperate, this is t even worth calling food. HARD PASS. The ONLY reason anyone goes here is because of legacy. The only people that return here are either suckers hoping it will be better, or people stupidly sucked into the idea of a geographic novelty. THIS IS BAD FOOD, SERVED POORLY, BY PEOPLE THATBDONT CARE.maybe once upon a time this place haddecent food, briefly, during a drunk cavalcade where the 10-2 crowd riled the market in the 60s. but now? go to Pizza Hut or Taco Bell or pretty much anywhere else.. It's vomit in a diaper. and they charge you for the insult on your taste buds.I'm not a priss. I'm a welder that lives nearby. this place actually, absolutely sucks.
