“The Ohio Tavern is as close as you can get to an old school dive bar in Madison. They food is cooked right in the bar area, and is mostly Mexican food. The nachos were delicious and the street corn was sublime. Service was good as well. It can get quite busy, and is louder than most establishments due to the small size. They only take cash and do not have a phone. If you want to maximize your chance of getting a spot - hit it up at an off time. We were there at 3:30 pm on a Saturday (non game day) and there were plenty of seats. At least try it once!“

“Found this place by chance. Complimentary chips and salsa to start off, and the margaritas were great! While the food seems a bit on the pricer side, portions are large and the quality of the food is very good. Our meal was delicious, and will most definitely come again!Wheelchair accessibility: It is wheel chair accessible, to enter and exit restaurant. All one level.“

“Cute atmosphere. A little overpriced. Chicken Taco way over seasoned . Recommend adding simple tacos for children or others that enjoy the basic taco. Bandito delicious ! I’ve never been where you have to pay for chips & salsa . Adding in fountain soda would be a plus .“

“Without exaggerating, the brisket taco and carnitas taco are some of the best food I've ever had. 11 out of 10. I can't recommendthem enough.Vegetarian options: They have a section of the menu that is just vegetarian tacosDietary restrictions: I don't know what, if any, practices they use to prevent cross contamination but they have clearly marked gluten friendly options and my mom who has celiac is planning on trying some of them so I'll update this review with the feedback.Parking: There is a side lot to park in but spaces are pretty limited. If they are busy, parking will likely be full. Also, the parking spaces aren't very wide so if you have a truck or larger tires on a Jeep it might be a squeeze.Kid-friendliness: This restaurant is kid friendly. I saw a few young kids (maybe around 5 years old) but there is a bar and most people are probably drinking so take that into consideration.“

“Between 4 and 5 stars. It's an all around good taco stop. And while the have tables to eat at, being 95° out, I decided to take them to-go. They top them with a pretty normal amount of onion and cilantro, and include grilled onions, grilled jalapeño spears, radish and lime on the side. The Al Pastor was good, marinated and chopped up, no added pineapple. The chorizo was chunky and crispy, and the carnitas was juicy. Tortillas are good, crisped just a tad, and I loved how they aren't dry, there's a little bit of grease left on that plate and you do need a napkin (Yummy!). Of course, since I took them to-go, I was able to pair them with three very delicious agaves (Tres Agaves Blanco), which always enhances the taco experience. At $2 a piece they are a very good deal.“

“5 star bartenders. Lovely time at the bar. Never got seated because the owners are idiots. EDIT: OK I got seated right as I was leaving, BUT the food was really good just stick to whatever looks authentic because the only thing that made my stomach do 360s was the falafel taco and I love falafel.“

“I stopped by while in town celebrating my birthday solo; I was feeling a bit lonely but thought it might be weird to ask for attention while out on my own, so I wasn't going to say anything. The extremely welcoming and kind server chatted with me and made recommendations; I had a huge, delicious sandwich and greens with the best strawberry vinaigrette I've ever had. I felt comfortable enough to mention why I was there, and he brought me a slice of heavenly lemon curd cheesecake as a birthday treat. I stopped feeling lame and just enjoyed being celebrated. I so appreciated the kind reception and will happily visit this spot again next time I'm in Madison!“

“Stopped by 2 times in a row. The food was great. We tried their chorizo based chicken, steak varieties and pastor ones. They tasted good. They even custom made. A chicken mushroom and cheese with Guacamole taco for us that tasted awesome. They seem to have a daily special which we haven't tried yet. Recommend this place if looking for a quick grab. It's right off the street with limited parking spots behind the truck.“
