We called the day before to make sure there was open bowling and was told yes until 9:00 but when we arrived the next day we were informed there was no open bowling as a special event was happening WOW maybe only let employees who know what is going on answer the phone! Also the food takes more than a hour with new owners and our burgers and fries were cold like they had been sitting somewhere for a while?

Bowling here is fun only two issues are every time I go it’s always packed. But that’s because of how fun it is so I don’t mind waiting my main main issue is they got rid of rocky rococo’s the best pizza place on earth and for that I am deeply disappointed by the new owners bring it back please we all want it back

Food was typical bar food, no concerns. Staffing needs help! The person taking care of us needs more help! Would try again to see if things are better.

Went in during lunch yesterday (Saturday) and the Cajun chicken sandwich was amazing! The bartender Hope was super friendly and gave amazing service not only to me but everyone. Great prices and great beer! I will definitely be back!

Have you ever taken a bite of something you ordered, assuming it would be good...I mean you ordered it...and then you take that first bite and without even thinking...kind of like your taste buds have now taken over and are doing the thinking for you...and your own personal version of"OMG! That's delicious!"escapes your lips? That happened for me on my second to last trip to the Waun-A-Bowl with their Jesabel burger. It's got bacon, burger, an egg and whatever magical-seeming energy that delighted my taste buds so much, I returned three days later to get it again. Then you couple this with a full bar, which includes my favorite choice, Hazy IPA. A slice of heaven. Now I can't speak to the other menu items except the mac n' cheese, which my grandkids seem to be experts at the best mac n' cheese, which I think technically means they will eat it. And they eat this mac n' cheese. It had been a while since I bowled. I love that you can rent a lane for an hour, instead of by the game. It is very affordable. I had a blast, even if I seem to be the Queen of the 9's. Where all my strikes at?I heard that this is a favorite place for families to go to before Waunakee HS football games and after. I don't know about you, it seems to me if a place is a place that the locals like to hang out at, that's something.Just to let you know, I write reviews for Amazon Vine. For me, something gets four stars when it is objectively and subjectively what I expected. I reserve five stars for things that WOW me. For me Waun-A-Bowl is five stars.

I have to say, I've only lived in the area for a bit over 5 years, and one of the things I really enjoyed was going to the Waun-a-bowl for a burger. Things were great for years, then tonight we went and I was shocked to find a completely new menu. The prices were definitely higher and the choices fewer. No more 1/2 lb burger, many items outright removed, and some changed. I have to say, the burger tastes different somehow and my daughter was really disappointed by the new Mac n' Cheese bites, they had changed completely. There's a saying: if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Unfortunately, it appears new ownership has decided things were somehow broken and decided to fix them. Highly disappointing, I think I'll need to find a new burger locally, because things here have changed and not for the better.

Tonight was not so good. 45 minutes for food. Wait staff did ask if we wanted another drink or how our food was. My wife waited 15 at bar to get our check to pay. It wasn't that busy.

New prices are insanely high under the new ownership! Most items are $2.50 or more per item for similar items. Before you could get a Cheeseburger and fries for $7.25, now it is $10.00. Mushroom Swiss Burger was $5.25, now it is $9.00. Hopefully the prices get more reasonable and the service improves with time.
