Restaurants in hotels can be a hit or miss and Van Acre hit the mark. The food was phenomenal, from breakfast to dinner. I’ve had the breakfast buffet twice and they had ample of selection and protein selection were not greasy at all. Phil was very down to earth and accommodating - kudos to him! There was another gentleman who served me (can’t recall the name) and he, too, was very attentive.On to dinner service. Portions were very generous but I can’t say enough on how spectacular the food tasted. Get the smoke plate - the pork belly alone was to die for.This is by far one of the best restaurants in a hotel I’ve ever been with respect to quality of food and phenomenal service by all staff.Kid-friendliness: Washroom had Koala care with liners and staff offered booster seat.

Sooooo yummy! Great beer... Titletown Johnny Blood Red & 3 Sheeps Veneration. Amazing food... Smoke Plate, Bacon Wrapped Dates, & Farm Brick Oven Pizza for apps. Tomahawk Pork Chop & Acre Burger for main course. And for dessert a scrumptious chocolate cake! We ordered more than we could eat but wanted to order one of everything, so we'll be back. Excellent staff... shout out to Jorden & Carley. They were on top of it! Thx

Beautiful restaurant layout and I am anxious to try one of the igloo rooms some day. The only very minor thing was the noice volume due to proximity of some of the seating, but that was not entirely the facility's fauly. Great service and the food was delicious.
Enjoyed an amazing dinner with my love in a quaint booth near the window.lovely evening with incredible food which included arancini, a chopped salad and a salmon filet like I have never had before. Highly recommend!

We had an excellent experience both times we've eaten at Van Acre. Our servers were knowledgeable, helpful, and did not rush us. The food was wonderful! We would highly recommend that you give Van Acre a try.

We love this restaurant!!! Food, service and ambiance are amazing. It is a bit pricey for Wausau, but it's definitely a treat. The bar/drinks are outstanding. This is a must go on our once a year trip to Granite Peak. Keep up the great work!
A high-end restaurant with a very professional wait staff and a casual and fun, yet upscale environment. The entrées here are of unbelievable quality with beautiful presentation and wonderful flavors. This is definitely a hidden gem of Wausau.

Honestly, one of the best meals and service we've had in along time! Robert was absolutely amazing! His knowledge and descriptions of the food were incredible. We had a party of 6 and we had the private dinning room with fireplace. We all loved the room! The food was amazing! We had Brussels sprouts, dates, to start. Delicious! We had filets, pork chops and a steak salad, wood fired flavors and done to perfection! Deserts were delicious cranberry tart, chocolate cake and cheesecake. We will be back again! We will highly recommend to others! Thank you!
Only complaint: menu was dirty with dried food on it, the bluetooth speaker was really dirty with food and greasy fingerprints, and the Dyson air purifier external filter was clogged with dust and needed a good cleaning--new filter. Everything else was amazing.

We celebrated "Galentines" and had a White Elephant exchange. It was the perfect setting. The seats were very comfortable and the blankets were a great touch. It was nice having the Dyson blade space heaters that we could control. The drinks were excellent, worth every penny. The food was gourmet and very well presented. Our server Parker was attentive and did well for the majority. The only exception was the bill where we were charged for wrong items. Easily fixed and he was a sweetheart to talk to about it. You are only given 1 and 1/2 hours for the "experience" so if want dinner and appetizers...you have to know what you want quickly and eat fairly quick as there would not be a whole lot of idle time. The only disappointment was the lack of snow for ambiance. I would still come back in a heartbeat for this experience . Apparently so would many others for as long as we had to wait for our reservations.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 I highly recommend doing the enchanted igloo, such an amazing atmosphere! From the moment we walked in the front door to the time we left everything was awesome! Our waiter Jacob was phenomenal! ? We all thouraly enjoyed our night out and We will absolutely be back again!
