“I told Jeremiah I was going to leave a review rather good or bad. Well, my South Louisiana tastebuds approve. The atmosphere is great. There were a lot of options such as cabbage, black eye peas, Mac and cheese, yams, and so forth. I highly recommend to anyone who travels to the area.“

“Ok this place is adorable. I love the open concept, colors, and greenery. Was a very comfortable place. We had a couple different things on the menu. The pork was tasty but a little on the dry side. The potatoes delicious and the chicken and waffles was very good. The best of the night was hands down the banana pudding.“

“CRAWDADDY'S ON GREENFIELD 9427 West Greenfield Avenue, West Allis, WI 53214 I always wanted to go here and see if it reminded me of when I lived in New Orleans, (Pre-Katrina). I called and made reservations, just to be sure. When I arrived I could tell I would have been fine without, but it is a Monday night. I think I would recommend making reservations no matter what. My guest and I were welcomed as soon as we entered and we taken to a nice four top, the majority of the tables were four tops. Our server came and offered us drinks. When she gave us each a glass of water. I opted for Sweet Tea, It was very good. I also decided to have an oyster, but not raw. Our server told us we could order some of them as single oysters, I ordered one Cajun Parmesan Broiled Oysters. It was very hot and came with a small piece of french bread. It was full of flavor and had a little kick, I enjoyed it very much. Both my guest and myself ordered the all you can eat chicken, it cam with a variet of sides. We both had mashed potatoes, I had greens and my guest had asparagus. The sides were great and very flavorful. The chicken was hot , had a southern touch to it,It was extremely tender and most and HOT!!! the blend of spices had a salty flavor with some additional southern spice that I can not identify, but great flavor. Even the white meat was tender and juicy nothing was dry. We ordered all you could eat, before we finished our server came back and asked if we wanted more we both did. The second round was even better then the first. Extremely moist and full of flavor. We each also got a second side dish. I opted for more greens and my guest got Onion Strings. Every thing was served hot. Our glasses were kept full. Our server was tentative to our table and other tables around us. As we were leaving all of the staff that saw us thanked us for stopping by and they meant it. I am glad I went here tonight, it did remind me of when I lived in New Orleans. I would recommend it very much for a special treat, make reservations it was almost $60.00 for two, but very much worth it. Great food, great relaxed environment and very enjoyable.“

“Doc's is the best smoked meat in Milwaukee. The portions are satisfying. They have 4+types of sauces. The fries are seasoned just right!! I had a hiccup on a take out order and I called to let them know. The manager was courteous respectful and made it right on another visit. I love the fried pickles. “These folks regularly appear at the South Shore Farmer's Market. And I have never tried their normal barbecue items. But whenever I am there, I try their vegan specials and every one I've had has been delicious. A few weeks ago, it was a jack fruit stew. (While I was waiting for my order, another vendor from the farmers market came by and told the operators that the stew was the best thing he had every eaten at the farmer's market.) Today, I had a squash curry. It was rich, bright yellow, and smelled and tasted delicious.Some restaurants' "vegan" food is bland and plain. Not this place. Highly recommend for people looking for vegetarian or vegan options.“
