Tried a little bit of everything. Al Pastor chimi, steak taco, ground beef chalupa, Al pastor taco rice and beans. All were very good, I walked in and ordered carry out and my friend had a margarita while we waited. It was done up super fast and the wait staff is very nice and welcoming.

C'mon Milwaukee people! Al Pastor in West Allis has great food, but we're here at 5:30 on a Saturday evening by ourselves outside on the patio. This is the second time we've visited Al Pastor in the last couple weeks. All the meet choices were excellent. Guac also very good. Bistek en salsa Verde was fantastic...with a spicy kick.

Al Pastor is definitely what you would describe as a hole-in-the-wall establishment. However, I've found these places to be diamonds. I went in and ordered a Mango margarita and the Birria dinner. Chips and salsa came while I looked at the menu. The mango margarita is HUGE. I ordered a small and it's definitely enough to share between two people. The Birria dinner came with 3 tacos, rice, beans, & consomé. The tacos were well cooked and oily. I love a good, oily taco. The consomé was an excellent dipping soup for the tacos. I ate my food pretty quickly. Hence, I have no photos to provide. I will definitely be coming here again. Very authentic Mexican food and very affordable.

6/19/22 - 4:30 PM Hidden in a neighborhood, Al Pastor is a corner establishment with an inviting inside. Greeted right away with salsa and chips. Ordered my typical favorite Mexican options, custom to my liking. Overall, I'm in no hurry to return... Pros: Attentive service Menu filled with Mexican staples (Tacos, burritos, tostadas, etc) Child friendly Vegetarian options Tequila choices are vast Nitpicks: Meat portions could be more generous

All of our food tasted great and it's an incredible value. Delicious Margaritas. Loved the taco special.

Tacos were amazing and authentic, and the alambre was amazing too. The music is fun, and the atmosphere is great. Definitely will be back!

The worst service I have encountered in my life. I have worked in the food industry for over 8 years of my life. They owed me guacamole because they were out. Then tried to order it the next day they were "out". I called a couple weeks later and was told "a different manager was working so they can't do it. I was upset because I paid for an item I didn't receive. I went in and the manager laughed while I showed how dissatisfied I was. I will never recommend this place to anybody. I will never trump decent food with horrifying service.

Awesome tacos Al Pastor! I judge a Mexican restaurant by their Al Pastor and this place is one point! Margaritas were very good, salsa was spicy in all the right ways. Tres Leches cake and choco flan are highly recommended. Nice atmosphere and exceptionally clean. Bar is on point, great drinks! Impeccable service

Visited this place after reading the Yelp reviews and I was not disappointed. The food was excellent--so much better than your average Mexican food that tastes the same everywhere else. Now, If they could make a better margarita (no bottled mixes), the experience would be even better! Service was good and I will definitely be coming back!

I got take-out from here and I'm sorry to say it was gross. The tacos were tiny and the "steak" looked and tasted like Alpo dog food. They had barely any cilantro and onions on top, and didn't come with any limes. Only one thin corn tortilla is used unlike most Mexican places that will use two, so they disintegrated. Totally not worth $2.50 each. The nachos were nasty, they use that fake liquid orange "cheese" on the nachos, just like at a movie theater or gas station. I feel disgusting after eating it.

Outstanding. Honestly, that's the word. Like many I suppose, we're guilty of not venturing out from our tried and true favs very often. Because of that blind loyalty, it took us a little longer to get here than it should have. We finally made in today and holy man- it was...what's the word? Outstanding. The place was spotless. The service was impeccable and gracious. The food was killer. Since it was our first time in- we both went with the Pick 3 so we could try different things. Our meals included: chicken enchiladas, a chicken chimichanga, steak tacos, chorizo tacos, rice, beans and of course we started with chips, guacamole and margaritas. I'm not even sure if we can rank the food one over another as it was all sooo good. If I described each dish, I'd be writing for pages. All I can tell you is that Al Pastor is a must. We can't wait to come back and try more of the menu.

Nice little quiet Mexican restaurant nestled in a residential area, very authentic food and the service is great. Is my new go to Mexican restaurant

By far the best Mexican spot in Milwaukee. Talked with the owner for a long time. She came from Central Mexico and you can taste it in everything she makes. The Mole is absolutely incredible. The enchiladas are amazing and the fajitas were great to. I will absolutely be back and will tell everyone I know to check it out!

I started a new job in this area a few months back and it's probably the best Mexican restaurant I've eaten at. I come here often and I haven't been disappointed.
