Went to Dickens a few days ago. Had cod sandwich which came with French fries, Cole slaw and tartar sauce. Good sized meal for $10 and tasted very good. Filled me up and reasonable priced. Worth another visit.

Dickens has quickly become my favorite “brunch” spot in the Milwaukee area. Best Bloody Mary in the city and the food is par to none too.

Tried to order online. Paid for it and now they are saying the kitchen is closed even though it says the kitchen is open until at least 10pm. Can't even get my money back. Food looks good online but no help from the people who are answering the phone. Maybe will try again if they hook me up but that's it. Just thought I'd have a regular place to go to when I'm smoking my cigars at Havana

This place was nothing like most of the reviews I read. First off we went because it was a BBQ place. Wrong, the menu is rather limited. Not that is necessarily a bad thing if what you serve is done well. This is not this place. The mushroom Swiss burger I got was served short on 'shrooms and a bun bottom ripped in two. The wee carrots ,literally thrown on the plate to add presentation where buried under the french fries and looked like they where left overs that had been laying around for hours. To say the "cook" has no idea what she is doing or why is an understatement. I could go on but why bother. Basically this establishment is striving to be just a watering hole for the height of local regulars mediocrity.
