Friends said it was one of the two actual authentic Chinese restaurants in town. The other being a northern style one. The food quality is consistently good, but the spiciness is not very consistent, so might want to clarify how spicy you want the dishes to be when ordering.

This restaurant really serves authentic Szechuan food. The dishes I ordered really didn't disappoint. Great taste and really spicy. It's not like the other restaurants where some tuned down the spice level to suit consumers that are not accustomed to real Szechuan spicy food. If you are looking for authentic Szechuan spicy food, I would strongly recommend this place.

I'm on the fence about this place. After seeing so many articles and reviews I just assumed I'd be blown away by the food, but it hasn't happened after 3 visits. Some dishes have been serviceable and some have been just hot and spicy but no real flavor outside of hot. MKE has such mediocre Chinese food, I'm really hoping to find an outstanding Go-to.

My go to restaurant for Chinese food! Authentic flavor and dishes, I am currently on my journey of trying all different dishes here. Love the food!

I saw someone on Reddit jokingly say this is the “best vegan restaurant” in Milwaukee, but they’re not wrong. We tried 3 different dishes (Dan Dan noodles with tofu, Mapo, and dry salted fried tofu). Everything was delicious, spicy, and came in huge portions. Highly recommend for authentic Sze Chuan with vegan/vegetarian options, which staff are knowledgable about. I just wish it was closer to downtown so I could go more often!

Have ate here many times, tried many things and never had a bad meal. Hidden jem of Milwaukee. I tell everyone I know about this place. Homestyle tofu is insane.

I will never set foot in this place again. I came to pick up carryout food that was ordered online. The server was irritated with me for looking at the receipts on the numerous take-out bags (about 10) that were laying on two tables - to see if my husband's phone number was on one - indicating it was our order. After scolding me and telling me that our order just came through and I needed to wait, she said something in Chinese to the other server, obviously about me. I stood in the back near the door (there's no good place to stand for a half hour) for a full 30 minutes as literally everyone else got their food and others came and went. She smiled smugly in my direction every time she passed or came out of the kitchen. My husband finally forwarded me the text that the food was ready 25 minutes ago. I showed it to server #2 and waited another 5 minutes until she brought it out for me. My husband had already paid, or I would have left.It is really a shame that this woman got such great pleasure out of ruining someone's night. I did NOT do anything to deserve this. I was not rude or disrespectful in any way. Again, we love (loved) the food here, but I will never give them my business again.

One of the most authentic asian food out in Milwaukee area. They do have all you can eat hotpot but I personally prefer ordering the dishes. I always order eggplant and the spicy pork dumplings. Other dishes I have tried were also good

Tasteless beef with snow peas. They said sweet and sour ribs. I got tiny grisly riblets that were tough as hell. Brought my husband's meal out then mine 5 minutes later. Overall experience was horrible. Will not return.

Yum!! The food is authentic! Piping hot when they bring it to your table. It was very good. Sweet n sour chicken, chicken n broccoli, rice, it was all perfect. Very nice staff. Clean and inviting. My husband and I will be coming back again when we are in the area.
