“Atmosphere is very unique. Staff is friendly and helpful. Visited for dinner. Ordered the coconut shrimp. Was very good with sauce provided. Also ordered the French fries. Loved how they made it with the sauce. Very crispy till the end. Had the Banh Mi. Unfortunately this was where I had to drop a star. Meat and filling was great. However, the bread roll was not baguette style and crispy. Soft and more a hoagie style. Banh Mi bread should be a crispy. So for me, will order other items and not the Banh Mi. Otherwise I look forward to trying the Ramen and other items.“
“Stopped in on a quite Sunday afternoon and were absolutely blown away! The bartenders were super friendly and service was very quick. The beer selection was diverse and the bar set up was unexpectedly beautiful. Now, the food is some of the best bar food I've had. My husband had the Patty Melt and stated that it contends for the best he has ever had. The grilled cheese came with unexpected but welcomed cheese curds. The fries were crisp and salted to perfection. I spent too many years living on that side of town and I'm kicking myself for never going before this week. Definitely a priority stop in the future!“
“Have been to East Town Kitchen and Bar for lunch a couple of times and for after work and weekend drinks other times. It's a comfortable place to eat drink and watch sports. Staff is friendly and pretty responsive. Happy it's downtown!“
“Cool place with an interesting menu, excellent service and great specials! The Bahn Mi was on special for FIVE DOLLARS and was delicious! Where else can you get duck anything for $5?! We also really enjoyed their cheese curds. Some of the best curds we had throughout the city.Impressed and would definitely go back if ever in Milwaukee again.“
“The food is better than typical bar fare. You might have to be patient when it's really busy, but the staff is great at making eye contact and acknowledging that they see you are waiting. I love their shuttles for Brewers games. Great deals on PBR, but top shelf drinks and some menu items are a bit overpriced. I got a basic grilled chicken salad, which was small for an entree, and it was more than $17. Food costs are up everywhere, though, so I can't really hold that against them. It was delicious. The patio in the summer is awesome. They live music and a walk-up bar where you can order drinks without going back inside. I recommend it for a fun casual lunch or dinner.Parking: On game days, parking fills up quickly, but there's street parking and a vacant lot next door where people can park.“
“I used to inspect the buildings in downtown Milwaukee so I'm quite biased on the atmospheric beautiful and nostalgia but its just wonderful. This place is paired up with the safe house. Cant speak out much because I'd be leaking top secret information ?. If i wasn't inspecting, i was on quick lunches with coworkers but this last visit was all leisure. I recommend an evening visit, with an open adventurous mind, and a partner with the same. Every staff member felt like a friend. They made their own names for us. One member was done for the night- packed up his bags ?, but since we pouted like kids he accommodated with a smile and the most wonderful conversation like we were long time friends. smh. If you don't experience downtown and fifth ward and walkers point Milwaukee i just don't know what to say. You are missing beautiful energies. Definitely will be back here....“
“My husband and I enjoyed our drinks and dinner at Tulum Latin Gastropub. Great service, the owner Miguel is very friendly and it has a fun atmosphere with good music. The passionfruit mojito and mangonata were excellent. We shared the Brocheta De pan con Chicharrón & Molcajete Estilo Mexicano - so tasty and unique. The food was muy rico!“
“I've lost count as to how many times I've visited Bar Louie. It's probably the number one happy hour spot for my friends and I. They have a large menu with lots of drink and food options. Although I've been coming for years, I've never written a review. I'm writing one now because I'm petitioning for them to never get rid of the new grilled cheese and subsequent chicken parmesan sandwiches. They are like siblings both made with a creamy spread, sliced cheese and a parmesan crust - both incredibly delicious and I will be absolutely devastated if you ever get rid of them. The flatbreads and garlic parmesan wings are a staple as well that I will definitely come back for but I will be dreaming about those sandwiches until I get to eat them again. So. Freaking. Good. And the new beach ball martini was fantastic, I want seven of them on vacation right now :)“
“I came in after a 10 year absence. Formerly a " regular " I was disappointed at the slow service for a Tuesday night. 10 people in the place and it still took forever to order, get a drink and never get a refill.. Bill came with an automatic " 18% service charge... for a party of "1" Insulting and distasteful. Can't belive Karl would condone this.. Don't expect much. It's nothing like it used to be...“
“We checked into a hotel upstairs, and we are looking for some food and a drink. We discovered the pub right underneath us, and we enjoyed ourselves. We wanted to test out the beer and the cheese here in Milwaukee, so we’re better way to do it then in a soup. We enjoy the pretzels and some local beers and the atmosphere was good.later at night it became a little bit more louder and if you’re looking for a good time at this pub on weekends, this is the place to go.“
“I went here a few weeks ago on my Milwaukee trip. I was staying at the Malt house so it was a convenient nearby place. The food was actually really good. Especially the pizza. The staff was friendlier than anywhere else I went. I’m personally not a huge fan of the atmosphere, theme of the place. The TVs are super up high at the bar, the lighting is dark at night. They have a huge Pabst sign but they didn’t have it on tap of all things. Overall it’s a chill place and the food is worth it.“
“The wings, the drinks, the DJ, the staff and the weekly specials is what brings me to a new spot and keeps me coming back. This place has all of that and more. We are always greeted right away even though I see some regulars. We don’t get treated any different, the food is always hot so when I wait I know it’s because the chef is cooking it the right way.they have weekly specials like margarita Mondays, wing Wednesdays, tenderoni (chicken tenders)Thursdays, fish fry Fridays, and Saturday and Sundays are specials on micheladas and mimosas.“
