Found this gem of a place while in the Tri-State dealing with a family emergency - and have now made the drive multiple times from Ashland. The food is good and reasonably priced. The Julio Especial margarita is one of the best deals around. Every time I’ve been in the service has been fast and very friendly.Growing up here, I remember when there were no Mexican restaurants to speak of (besides the late great Chili Willi’s). Now they are all around, and I have had issues with the large family-owned group’s locations. I often feel I don’t get what I ordered (esp with premium margaritas). Here? Never a problem and totally worth the drive.

The food is delicious. Service can be slow. It’s still the best Mexican restaurant I’ve been to.

Had been here on a few occasions. While the food is delicious the service at times can be incredibly slow. Still worth stopping by.

My spouses very first visit here. I hadn’t been there in years. The first thing he noticed was the “sketchy” door to the restaurant. It really does give the appearance of not good vibes. We were seated quickly as it had just opened. Service was really good. Food was good. Chips and salsa and guacamole was great. My only cons was my quesadilla came with no sides. Next time I’ll ask for beans etc. and the door. It seemed very clean. You can eat outside on the patio which is covered. We didn’t visit the restrooms.

Wonderful staff and above average food it's only the actual building that drags down this establishment.

The only thing that saved this experience was the excellent service by Zach. He was attentive and always had a sense of urgency about him. He's very good at what he does.I would like to think the food was just an out of the ordinary experience which is why I didn't mention it to the server.Ordered fajitas with chicken shrimp and steak. No seasoningShrimp overcookedChicken, steak, onions and green peppers overcooked and burntThe guacamole salad with rice and chips and salsa were just bland as if no seasoning was used to prepare any of it. No worth the $17.75 they are charging.Again, though, service was excellent. He even brought out a different salsa when he realized I liked spicy food..

If you call this Mexican food. Disgusting ?, worse Mexican restaurant I have eaten. They have no flavor, nothing was fresh, and it was not authentic.
