Best cup of coffee around and staff is very friendly

Came here for coffee because I refuse to go to Starbucks. We were told that their Expresso machine had been broken for over a year and most people come here to gamble? Gamble? The sign says Java Joe's! No coffee. Maybe should change the name to Gamblin' Joe's?

I used to love going down there... but here lately I haven’t seen any consistency in the staff. It’s hard to tell who is working nowadays... I would love going down there because the people that were working there were easy to talk to and seemed like they cared about their customers. It’s nice to go to a place where you can see a familiar face. I’ve heard that they don’t treat their employees very well, maybe that’s the problem. Plus, everything is charged over there. I gamble at many different places, but they’re the only place that charges you to even breathe! I’m done going there and so are my friends. You’ve lost some good business. Do better.

I stopped on my way home. Door was locked and employee refused to answer the bell or my knocks on the door. I could see people were inside. I had to call them on the phone to get a response. They told me they were closed. I asked about customers still being inside. Oh. They close at 2am, but they're not allowed to ask any customers already there to leave. Really?! You're either open to all customers or you're closed. I used to go there and they would close at 3am and everyone had to leave at that time. I won't go there again.

Friendly staff, good coffee, won some money. Left with a big smile. :)
We'll start off with the good first. It's a cute little unique cafe with lots of character. The coffee was great, we popped in here for a quick latte before getting on the road. I ordered the Almond Joy latte and it was great. Unfortunately, here is where it goes downhill-the customer service. The gentleman behind the counter was distracted, to say the least, while I was ordering. I ordered a small and when he set it on the counter completed it was obviously a large, which he then charged me for. Most importantly, as someone with a dairy intolerance it is SO important that I have a non-dairy alternative unless I want to be sick for days. As a precaution, I put emphasis on my order with my non dairy milk selection and ALWAYS verbally confirm with the barista when they're done that non-dairy milk was used. Well apparently my concern for my health was offensive to him because he took a nasty sarcastic tone towards me after I asked and said "what? Do you need to see the carton?" I replied with a smile saying "no, that I trusted him, I just always check to be sure for heath reasons." As I weaved my way out the door, I heard him mock me to the customer in line behind me. For that reason, I will NEVER return here and I will discourage anyone else from stopping here either. A customer should never leave feeling embarrassed and shamed for protecting themselves. This establishment doesn't deserve my business.

A group of friends and I were staying in town for the weekend and came by for a cup of coffee. Jamie was our server and made us amazing drinks. We had a great time and if we're ever in town again we'll be stopping by for sure 😊
