Really enjoyed all of this place! Appetizers (feta dip), entrees (pork and risotto), sides (brussel sprouts), dessert (tuxedo cake) and cocktails.... all of these things were terrific. The bartender was friendly and the service was quick, the place was comfortable and just a great quiet place to finish the day with a nice meal and service. Highly recommended.

My wife and I were in town for a weekend away. We made reservations for a Friday night and were not disappointed! Scott was the supreme host/waiter/bartender. The atmosphere was eclectic and cozy. Drinks were superb, food was delicious and fresh, and as a bonus, the prices are VERY reasonable. You won't be disappointed!

I’ve been in a few times for a coffee or a drink with friends but I’ve only eaten there once. I had a sandwich with Brie and veggies and a cocktail with lavender, lemonade and vodka (I think it’s vodka), both were delicious but more than I’m used to spending for a vegetarian sandwich and a drink. The servers were preoccupied with other things but responded to my requests when I asked (I was sitting at the bar this visit.Meeting friends for drinks, sitting at a table and drinking a simple vodka soda was a great and less expensive experience thanks to a wonderful server named Andrea plus my friends there to talk with. I think we all enjoyed ourselves and the atmosphere. We will definitely be back.Vegetarian options: I had a vegetarian sandwich with Brie and other good stuff on it. There are a few choices and things might be able to be modifiedParking: Street parking is free but limited in this part of Bolivar-Harpers Ferry. The lot directly behind it is free for customers of adjacent businessesKid-friendliness: Kids will be fine and as bored as they would be in any restaurant unless they are eating or otherwise occupied/entertained.Wheelchair accessibility: I don’t think it would be easy to get a wheelchair into this location unassisted. The facade is historic and entrance has 1-2 steps. If you can navigate the steps you’ll be fine inside. I don’t know if the restroom is accessible.

We just had bruschetta and wine - amazing balsamic drizzle on the bruschetta! Friendly and fun waiter who made the whole experience unique. We will definitely be back next time we're in the area.

Popped in here for an impromptu lunch on a weekday. The vibes were welcoming, we just weren't sure if we needed to seat ourselves or order at the counter etc. We asked and found a seat, menus came quickly after. I had a hard time choosing because it all looked delicious, but after consulting with our server, I got an Italian sandwich and my husband got the roast beef. While the coffee/tea menu was visible from our seat once I had a chance to glance around, had it been on the table or with the menu, I might have ordered something different but we ordered sweet tea and found it well balanced and not too sweet. Our sandwiches came out in a very reasonable timeframe, and the baguette on both were delightfully chewy, not too heavy. The sandwiches tasted fresh and were delicious. Our server was easy going and quick to accommodate us and our needs. There was another server working who also checked in with us which made us feel well taken care of. There was a wide variety of beers, wine, and cocktails that we would have tried under different circumstances, but overall, would definitely recommend Snallygasters...even if just for the name

This little old-fashioned restaurant and bar is a gem. We had delicious bolognse and carbonara dinners. Who knew? The inside is decorated adorably, including a wine store in the back. Servers couldn't be more accommodating. We found it odd that they didn't carry diet soda but found something else that worked.

Quaint establishment...seating was close quarters. Our table was dirty, so our waiter cleaned it, after he served our drinks. Food was good. Friendly staff.

A lovely, ambient place to sit and enjoy a coffee and pastry while reading a book or working on a work or school project. There is also a wine bar, as well as a shop with a delicious variety of wines to choose from for a night with your loved one or friends. The decor and indoor lighting is comforting -the only thing missing is a crackling fire place scene! Lovely old building with a lot of history here. The service was welcoming and friendly.

My partner and I stayed in Harper’s Ferry at the Lighthorse Inn bed and breakfast next door to this quaint little restaurant; it was Christmas Even and they stayed open for us, and we were so thankful for our delicious meal. Snallygaster is a sophisticated wine bar with the charm of a country general store. Highly recommended!
