Got the reuben with kraut, the meat was great, kraut, was sweet, and not enough the sammich, which was kind of ok with me since it was so sweet-got potato salad and it was flavorless, the berry lemonade was good though. Heard good things, experienced something else with that particular meal.

I was hosting a bridal shower due to happen March 3rd, 2024 which I have had booked for two months. They told us I could place the food order one week prior so I called on Saturday 02/24/24 at 12:30 to do that and ask two questions about balloons. They told me I had to place the order with the manager named Tricia. Tricia answered and immediately was not very nice and she said “you could have called earlier bc I really don’t have time for this” which is not how you treat a customer. They open at 11 so I didn’t think calling at 12:30 was too late in the day. I didn’t want to be the person to call exactly at opening. She didn’t let me ask my questions and told me if I wanted to talk, to call back at 11 on Sunday 2/25 and abruptly ended the call. I gave the benefit of the doubt and called the next day at 11. Again I was met with someone who wasn’t very enthusiastic and seemed annoyed to be helping all though I was trying to spend $400 in food. She brushed me off and told me to email the food order. Several red flags but I tried to remain positive. The following is what is unforgivable. My friend and co-host stopped by on 2/26/24 to see the space we reserved but was taken to a hallway with four booths in it that wouldn’t fit 16 people so she talked to someone that was there at the time and she told us we must have been booked for the incorrect space. This occurred because the initial employee I booked it with had the names of their spaces confused. This employee told us it would be no issue to switch bc they don’t have any other bookings that day and “Sundays are slow”, but that Tricia would have to okay it and was gonna give me a call soon. Three hours later the girl I talked to earlier in the day tells me that Tricia can no longer honor our reservation bc someone else needs the space the same exact time and date (which I do not believe) considering we were told a couple hours prior TWICE that there were no other parties that day. I told her this wasn’t acceptable and that they needed to find a solution to help us make it work bc we have had it booked for months and we can’t easily move a bridal shower with such short notice. She told me Tricia would call that night and she didn’t. Tricia called this afternoon on 2/27 now claiming that they don’t rent out the area we needed at all even though I made a reservation two months ago that I verified with them on MULTIPLE OCCASIONS and have a text and email confirmation for the day, time, and party type. What could have been a stress free enjoyable experience where they could have made a decent amount of money was ruined by their incompetency and unprofessional behavior. We were offered no apologies or options to help us out. I’m my opinion, the right thing to do would be allowing us to use that space as a one time courtesy. I asked for the owners name and wasn’t given it. If someone knows the owners please let them know their manager is making them lose business and money.

I didn't taste apple butter at all I requested apple butter BBQ also and it was nowhere to be found and the quality of the chicken was questionable at best!! Banana Pudding was bland with no waffers....the worst BP I've ever tried....they should rename it to Not your grandma's Banana Pudding!

Mountain state is always a great experience. They actually have options for beer enthusiasts. They have a beautiful outside area and the customer service was awesome. Check it out!

5th visit and it’s always the same. Poor service, warm food, good beer. I would not recommend this place. Last night waited 30 mins for a table, only to be sat at a table that was empty the entire time. Food took forever to arrive, I had to ask when the was coming and within 2 mins it arrives at the table, room temp, obviously sat for a while. You can tell there is no leadership/direction running this place. Go to Morgantown if you want to enjoy this.

-The food is amazing. I highly suggest the caprese panini, or the shrummus panini. Food is pricey. The paninis are roughly $10+ tax. Come with a side and a pickle. The pizza is good but I've had better , but not often especially in WV.- Drinks are expensive as well. But there is a large selection of beer ( I think only local brew) the margaritas are delish, but I think it's very little liquor.-Service is usually ok. Always has a clean dining areaa. But there are days where it's just poor. Food took an hour to come out just 3 days ago. And they were far from busy. Servers are usually good ĺ maybe ours had an off day. It has happened a couple times. But the time for food was only this time.-I keep going back, the food is so good it trumps the negatives 9/10 times. I'd say give it a try.Vegetarian options: There are a decent amount of vegetarian options. But not many vegan that I can remember.Parking: Parking lot is big. Always a spot open. it is a parking lot so it's free.Kid-friendliness: More of an adult setting but kids are always there and enjoying themselves.

Nice place. We only had appetizers, so I can't comment on the food. But what we did have was very good. I also had their oatmeal stout, which was pretty darn good. We sat at the bar, and the service was outstanding.
