Passed by The Social Tap several times on my way back from a chiropractic appointment in Jane Lew to my apartment in Bridgeport. Looked it up online and saw that it had good reviews. Last evening, my partner and I were trying to decide where we wanted to eat, but we didn't want to go to the typical places. I happened to think of The Social Tap as a possibility, but I wasn't sure about the type of food they served. My partner is accustomed to eating food high in carbs, but I am gluten and dairy free. ? I figured worst-case, I could get a salad. Looking over the menu after we found a table, I decided on the Rothesburger, which is typically served on a bun with cheddar cheese and served with fries. I ordered mine sans bun, cheese, ketchup and fries. Honestly, it was one of the best burgers I've had when dining out for a long time! My partner ordered a pepperoni and sausage pizza and ate the whole thing, so I assume it was good. ? All in all, we had a very enjoyable evening, and we plan to make The Social Tap a regular spot.Dietary restrictions: Gluten & Dairy FreeParking: Limited parking in the lot next to it but there is a larger lot across the road.

Great atmosphere. The bar itself is a bit small, but it makes it feel like a true locals hangout, and happy hour has great deals on appetizers also.

The place was packed when we got there. They were able to get us a table in the corner. Beer was cold, service was outstanding, and the brisket nachos were probably the best I have had in a long while. I would definitely recommend them.

Wings were incredible! Spicy Black Raspberry is my new favorite wing sauce. Also, the chicken sandwich tossed in buffalo sauce with their blue cheese on it. ?

Walked in with some friends trying to find a booming place to hang out. The four of us paid $40 for the cover charge. Walked in, looked at the menu. We weren't interested in the environment, food or drinks offered. We decided to go somewhere else within 5 minutes. The dude at the door refused to give us our cover charges back. He said he could call a manager but he would tell us the same thing. I'll never do any kind of business with these people ever again. If they sleep good at night knowing they are taking peoples money for the hell of it, I'm never supporting or suggesting this place.
Thoroughly enjoyed my BBQ pulled pork sandwich. Would definitely visit again if in the area (live in Philadelphia).
