The carnival was nice but the food was expensive,, but that's not anything to do with the church

Used to serve a Friday night buffet style dinner that was reasonably priced and good home cooked meal.

Fantastic family oriented church!!! My family and I joined here going on 4 years ago and our spiritual growth is has been incredible. This has only been made possible through the variety of study opportunities from Sunday school, small group study opportunities throughout the week, through attendance at the Men's Advance and Women Retreat. Great church if you are looking for a family oriented church and want to strengthen your relationship with God!!!!

The overall rating for this restaurant is rigged by Oakmont Methodist Church members where Paul"s restaurant is co-located. Service is provided by church members and is very slow. Their pre-frozen onion rings and sweet potato fries are excellently prepated. Call ahead because open hours are way too limited. I am not sure how they survive.

Great church home that teaches the bible for what it truly says.
I'm a member of the Catholic church across the street from Oakland and many of us stop in here for lunch after Mass or while working with various ministries during the day. Paul's has also provided catering for some of our church events. Everything has always been exceptional. Eating there or carrying out is always a treat!!

From the website: "Paul's restaurant is named after the Apostle Paul who was instrumental in explaining and spreading Christianity. The restaurant is an auxiliary of Oakland United Methodist Church, and its profits are donated to the ministries of the church. We are committed to making a difference in our community and regularly assist with meeting community needs." Every Friday night they have a buffet with Prime Rib for $13.95 and other menu items. We have NOT found any restaurants in Martinsburg that have Prime Rib on the menu. This was a pleasant discovery. The link also includes a link to menu items, and they also have take-out, which seems to be brisk. We were seated in an open area (church foyer), and there are a few other smaller rooms, so they can accommodate groups with reservations in separate rooms that offer privacy. This is a "church setting," but it is run like a nice higher end restaurant. We were greeted immediately, and everything was 5-star to the time we left. Table cloths and nice background music sets the stage. The prime rib was done exactly as requested (rare) and they have all the various cuts available--someone nearby had a well-done end cut. They also have a regular menu from which you can order if you don't want to indulge in the buffet. We will definitely make this a regular destination, and it will also be a place to take our out-of-town visitors, too.
Great craft show
