Was in town visiting for work and tried to dine at this restaurants on 2 occasions but each vist I was met with a laundry list of items they were out of. Only serving chicken breast and pulled pork but out of brisket, ribs, wings, fish, etc. There are 3 different type of fish on the menu and you have none?Very off putting to pay for parking and the lack of supplies.

We arrived on a friday night at around 5:00. They were out of almost all the sides. They didn't have any tarter sauce for the fish which would have been ok if they told us before we ordered them. Ribs were over cooked and dry, and with very little BBQ sauce on them. The Cole slaw was flavorless. Its unfortunate that we chose this restaurant for the one night we were in town. I feel like there is a great food scene here in Charleston, and this place is not part of it.

What an excellent addition to the downtown restaurant selection!! It’s a quick and easy walk from the Summer St. Parking garage as well as most of the downtown activities!!We went several times after attending children’s story time activities at the library. The food was just as delicious as we expected from the name and we were delighted to see the same menu options. While they don’t offer much for toddlers, they did allow us to share without any issues and the service was great. Checkout was quick and easy with my phone, too! Will surely be going there regularly!!Kid-friendliness: Very roomy environment that provides plenty of room for strollers and high chairs. Servers were excellent with the kids and provided an extra plate without our asking for one.

Disappointing. I pass thru Charleston several times a year and always look forward to bbq from D2B. And Ive had a great pulled pork sandwich. However, my ribs tonight were over-cooked to the point of being dry and tough. PULL UP YOUR SOX GUYS!!

Soul food - Soul good! Finally they opened a shop downtown. We had no BBQ! Everything is good here. Everything! All the sides. All the meats. There is nothing bad here. The sauces are all the bosses! Within walking distance from basically everywhere in Charleston this place is like a beacon summoning soul food fanatics to its front door. When you cross the threshold you are hit with that unmistakable smoked meat aroma. It basically lifts you off your feet like a Tom and Jerry cartoon. I loved how the eating area was set out and the decoration. I appreciate how nice both the server and the person handing me my food were. It’s so crucial in the service industry but needed more so in today’s crazy world. No nonsense here or politics, just great food. Keep this place here. Support local business.Parking: It can be tougher to get on the same block here but parking further down summers street is the way to go. You shouldn’t have to park more than a block but if you do I often park next to the parking garage on summers next to the movie theatre. There is even free parking there for pickup.Wheelchair accessibility: You can access the building and sit comfortable in their dining parlor.

Chef Ke never disappoints. Everything is always A1 especially the Sunday Brunch. I have been waiting for a spot like this since I moved to West Virginia 17 years ago. This place is a must try.
Had the opportunity to meet the owner Ashley. She is very customer orientated, and is dedicated to excellent customer service. Had the opportunity to have the ribs and pulled pork with the hot barbecue sauce outstanding, you will not regret. And if you’re looking for a good sweet potato casserole, Ashley has it. Will definitely be recommending this spot.

Wasted time. I drove downtown to the Dem 2 Brothers on Summers Street, only to find that they refused to sell me a take-out order of BBQ. They said they were only open because of the “restaurant week”. Even though they were open and would sell me BBQ if I sat down and ate, they refused to sell me a take-out order. Then I asked if their other location on Virginia St would sell me BBQ and they said they closed at 5PM. I showed them their website which stated that they were open until 7PM - which they then said “sorry but they close at 5”..Absolutely odd that they would sell BBQ if I sat down, but refused to sell take out.No more Dem 2 Brothers for me.

Fantastic fried fish and sides and good service. My only recommendation is that they invest a little bit more in at least laminating their menus.
Good place to eat.
