Service was fantastic! The food was really good. I thought the house Italian was a bit too tart, but that's just my tastebuds.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Firstly, our server and his trainee were wonderful and this is in no way at them. However, the management and food is absolutely horrible. We had a party of 8 and all ordered entrees, some drinks, and appetizers (hinting that we spent a good deal of money at this place). The only good thing was our server and our garlic bread. The “owner” or whatever that lady behind the register was was absolutely horrible, no wonder no one comes here anymore. I have never in my life experienced a ruder person let alone an owner. One of the members of our party was running very late and they have a policy that you cannot be seated until the whole party has arrived. 8/9 members were there and had been waiting for over 20 minutes while the restaurant was nearly completely empty. Our person would be running 30+ minutes late and asked us to just start without him and we informed the “owner” of that and I have never had a more distasteful experience from an individual. The food was not good whatsoever especially for what we paid for it. The salad was soggy but overall the entree food just tasted disgusting as we all got different entrees, not one said theirs was even remotely good and several didn’t even eat theirs. We grew up with this restaurant and have loved it for decades and we will never, ever be back. We could’ve had a better meal at McDonald’s. We tipped our servers and left and along with many others, we’ll never be back. Manager was rude to not only our party but several other parties very publicly.

A family member of mine just recently dined at this particular establishment with nothing but a terrible experience. The food was reported to be excellent....however, the service was rude , unprofessional and undeserving of any high end tip..needless to say ....it wasn't a pleasant experience...As for the "owner"......who attends to the register so that she can bully' customers if she feels their tip isn't sufficient enough.....her remarks are said to be humiliating and disrespectful. I'll give the next established my earned buck before even thinking about choosing this restaurant. Character speaks volumes.............!! distasteful experience that should have been avoided!

I was excited to be a total fat boy at this place. I was utterly disappointed literally from the door. It was freezing cold and there was a line waiting outside for the doors to open at 5pm. Because it was freezing it felt like 20 mins later but it was more like 4-5 mins past 5pm. We didn't have a reservation but we only waited for about 8 mins to get seated. The host walks us over to a table literally right next to the men's bathroom. Bad placement. I politely asked him did he have another table away from the bathroom. He obliged, got on the walkie talkie and said "don't sit anyone at 14". Our waiter greets us and BTW he was great. I came to EAT so I started with the sweet and sour wings and fried ravioli. The wings had the texture like those frozen bag of small fried wings out of the supermarket. Just overly breaded and the sauce was eh. The fried ravioli was dry and boring but I did like the level of spice. I then ordered the Cannelloni. What a disaster. The plating was horrendous. It arrived in a small oval dish. It reminded me of those Hungry Man meals. It was only missing the plastic film you pull back off it right before you stick your fork in it and burn the roof of your mouth. I ordered the peppercorn steak medium rare with cognac sauce on the side to go. To my surprise the next day when I warmed it up i noticed they cooked it perfectly and it wasn't bad. Overall imo that's not authentic Italian. None of it looked or tasted homemade. I threw down $120 plus a respectable tip for our great server for mid quality food. I remember before we came in, my buddy who accompanied me there was telling me in the car how he's been here before. I said "what did you have?". He said " I don't remember." ? Food for thought.

Fazio's has been around for more years than I can count. Always the special occasion choice in Charleston. Have celebrated many birthdays, anniversaries & even went after our wedding. Baked eggplant is my go to & veal parm for my spouse.

Love the eggplant parm. Delicious! My suggestion would be this. I sincerely believe they should serve spaghetti with this wonderful dish. You have to order separately and they charge. I lived in Washington, DC for 45 years now retired back home in West Virginia. I've had eggplant parm in many cities/places over the years and spaghetti is ALWAYS served automatically. I've been back in Charleston for 5 years now and have been wanting to say this every single time I go to Fazios. I love Fazios, but you need to step up your game on this. Giving 5, but tempted to do less just because of frugality with a simple small amount of spaghetti. Servers are unfailing polite.

Two folks in our group were not that hungry and only ordered appetizers. The manager was not pleased, indicating it was their expectation that If you came there you should ready to eat a whole meal. - as if they would not serve us unless we all ordered entrees.
