Loved the decor of this place. Very eclectic. I did not like that nothing was labeled and there was no pricing. The staff did not seem friendly or even wanting to help. I just got a cupcake and a cookie since those I could figure out what they were. The treats were delicious and I would have loved to have tried more but having no idea what anything was, I didn't just want to randomly experiment.

Stopped in here after an afternoon spent at the library. Saw great reviews on Yelp so we had to try. Located on a really cute street in Charleston, street side meter parking available. Upon walking in, looked pretty dead and cases were not very full. Only 1 full cake was on display, no cupcakes or slices of cake in any of the cases facing the entrance. Small selection in the front case to choose from. My boys picked a frosting filled long John looking donut, m&m sandwich cookie and two truffle balls (they couldn't give me a description of any of the flavors of balls in the case so we randomly selected.) no labels on any of the goodies in the case or prices-so shot in the dark there! We were pleasantly surprised and all was great except for cookie sandwich which tasted crumbly and dry. The filled donut selection was nice and doughy with a good vanilla flavor. The cake balls were moist and very sweet-couldn't rlly tell the flavors just tasted chocolate- but from appearance looked like red velvet and chocolate on the inside. Wish the inside was a bit more welcoming but maybe it's more of an evening spot -we would be willing to try again and update

Weird decorations between old movies, rock stars and old stage setup. Bakery didn't have much to offer. Bought cake pops, but I should say dough pops as it wasn't cooked to a cake before dipping in icing. Bought an apple turnover. It wasn't a good birthday cake place. Just an old vibe with not much to offer in the way of a birthday cake.Parking: parallel parking in front of store.

We love Rock City Bakery. We lived in Gettysburg and my husband always insists on making this part of our trip, dragging other family members and anyone else who’s never been yet. Its a unique experience. Its a little bit bakery, little bit music venue with pop culture memorabilia sprinkled on top.They have an insane variety and quantity of baked goods during events and holidays. We went after Valentines Day last week and they had a countertop of sale items. We got puff pastries, brownies, cake pops, cake push ups, long johns, fruit covered cheesecake and my favorite, the fruit pizza. They were stocking the cake display with custom made cakes for birthdays that were so cute! The staff there have always been friendly and fun to joke around with.They also have bands now and then as well as comfortable seating. Its a nice place to take a book or to catch up on remote work while having a snack. We’ve never ordered drinks while, but if they dont have coffee, Taylor Books down the street has some. The library is across the street. Everything you need to spend a relaxing morning or afternoon.Definitely a place we come back to over and over.Kid-friendliness: We always come with a full crew of littles. They are always friendly and talk to themWheelchair accessibility: I am disabled and bring my service dog in with me when we come. No stairs, comfortable chairs and couchwith coffee table.

Whenever I go to read reviews of a business, I always go straight to the negative ones first to see the bad things that are being said. When I scanned through the negative reviews of Rock City I honestly couldn't relate to any of them. The service has always been top-notch with friendly employees who are polite and always eager to help and answer any questions. I have had a variety of items including brownies, cookies, cupcakes, long johns... and they have always been delicious and definitely don't taste store bought. As for the place itself, it is quirky and fun which adds to its charm. Since we no longer live in WV we don't get there very often, but whenever we are in town we always make a point to go there and always go with family members who still live there and no one has ever been disappointed.

They are THE BEST!!! I’ve tossed some crazy things for them to make for me over the years!! Most last minute ?? AND THEY GO ABOVE AND BEYOND EVERYYYYYY SINGLEEEE TIMEEEE!!! Without fail! LOVE LOVE LOVE this place! And it's just 3 doors down so if I want a pastry with my morning coffee, I don't have far to go. And let me tell you about that old school strawberry pie. The first time I bought one it was warm, just out of the oven, and smelled heavenly! I could hardly contain myself from dropping my face into it and having my own personal pie eating contest. It was just as good as my eyes and nose told me it would be! Cupcakes, cakes, and cookies galore. You can't go wrong with your choses!

The sweet 16 cake for my daughter was beautiful and everything I had asked for! It was purple and had a layer of glitter! It was perfect! Not only was it pretty, it tasted so good! We ate every last crumb! My daughter was so happy!
