Visiting from out-of-town on a work trip. Called prior to arriving to see if they took walk-ins and person over-the-phone said yes. Walked in about 2 minutes later and a tall-ish male with short brown hair approached us. Rudely asked if we had reservations and when we said no he simply shook his head from side-to-side, said no words and then finally said "No".

Good food but beware that Happy Hour does not mean drinks are fully discounted. Ask first. Otherwise food is great.

Nice bar setting. Braised short rid & fillet mignons were very good. Great cheese board. Extensive wine list with a wide range of prices.

Absolutely fantastic! The bar is delightful, very comfortable, great location downtown Charleston. Will definitely will visit again!!!!!!!!! I loved the same Scallops as before , but my husband said the Rosemary ( Italian) chicken was the BEST he has ever had! Brianna was our excellent waitress and what a treat to meet the Awesome Chef Chase! Keep up the great work!!!!!!!!! As we move into 2022 hope you can add a few more items to menu!!! You ROCK!

Front desk staff at the Hampton Inn highly rec the Block. Glad they did. Got there around 5:45 and nice crowd in the bar area. We were seated at a hi top and had great service from Robby S. Our drink orders were taken immediately and filled within minutes. My wife likes Southern Comfort Manhattans and they had it on shelf. I had rye Manhattan and both were well done. We started with the fresh Burrata that include very thin, toasted bread, tomatoes and assorted greens. This was exceptional. The dressing on the greens was really good and the Burrata was the same. My wife ordered the Caesar salad with blackened salmon. Very nice serving of excellent salad and salmon was large and she said it was exceptional. I had the house burger fixed medium rare. It was a really nice burger, fixed as requested, juicy, fries very good also. If we lived here we would be going back many times.

We dined for the first time here, after reading several positive reviews. We sat at the bar and the female bartender gave an uninterested impression. We dine regularly at several other downtown locations and must be spoiled by their bartenders upbeat and friendly attitudes, while offering outstanding service. The brie appetizer was tasty, but the entrees and fries were lacking in flavor. The restaurant was not busy on a early evening weekend day. The interior was nice.

We got risotto balls in marinara for our appetizer, they were splendid. The NY strip was mouth-watering and so delicious. Brussel sprouts were awesome as well. My girl got the pasta and it was spectacular. Cannot wait to visit this place again. ☺️

Charcuterie board and caprese flat bread was amazing and the service was superb.

Best top sirloin I've ever had. The chimichurri sauce was outstanding. Atmosphere is perfect. Very quiet. They are known for their excellent wine selection. I am not well versed at all in varieties of wine, but it sure seems like this would be a great place to visit if you enjoy wine tasting.Great spot to take a date or for a nicer night out with friends (or for business dinners).

Great wine selection and beautiful glass cellar display. They we on a 30-45' wait around 8pm on a Saturday night but were able to seat us within 10' which was great. Service was a little slow but we didn't mind. Good date night spot to make an event out of dinner. They had some interesting wines I haven't seen on menus and quite a few great bottles. We just did a few apps: Burrata: which was good but wish the bread had been warm Shrimp scampi dip: 10/10. My fav part of dinner Italian flat bread: was okay, felt like the cheese had just melted when they took it out and was a little dough heavy for a flat bread. Overall enjoyed this restaurant and would recommend as a date night spot

Good food, nice atmosphere. I'm not from around here. This restaurant closes at 9pm on Sunday nights. Last call at 8:45, apparently. Strange and odd to me to be that aggressive about an early closing time. Ijs.

Was only passing through and was in town for the night with my grandfather and wanted to take him somewhere nice. Don't get me wrong it looks nice on the outside and in. People are nice and friendly. When it comes to the food however. You get barley any food for the price you pay. Very small portion for a $15 pasta. Pasta sauce was very bland and not much of it. Best tasting part of the meal was the 2 slivers of bread that came with the pasta. Very disappointed. My advice. Just go to Olvie Garden.

Had drinks at the bar with Tom and Elle serving us. They provided great service and we left feeling like we made new friends. We also did make new friends as a couple of locals joined our party.

We came in because of the advertised happy hour specials - we had some time to kill before dinner and NOTHING was open in downtown Charleston. It's a ghost town on Sundays-Tuesdays. The bartender was unsmiling and unfriendly, and made fun of my daughter when she ordered a drink, saying, "Well, she doesn't look that excited about it", so my daughter declined to have anything at all and read a book at the bar. It amazed me that someone whose income depends on tips was so frosty. And we're from BOSTON, visiting for the sole purpose of finding someplace where people are friendly to retire to! As for the drinks, they were okay but I've definitely had better, even at home. The mojito needs the leaves muddled for flavor, not just tossed in.
