“I stop at pretty much any hot dog stand I see along the road when I travel. This is one is one the great ones. Its classic hot dog establishment, chill, friendly, and about feeding you amazing hot dogs at a great price and FAST. The chilli sauce is what makes the dogs, I recommend the hot one. They have other items on the menu such as fries, baked potatoes, coleslaw, potato salad, etc. They also have specials when I was there it was taco salad. Its quite a good place.”

“I was in Varney West Virginia on 11/14/2016 and 11/15/2016 and ate at the Varney Snack Shack both days. Their pizza and pizza choices were great! Taste? Superb! They have burger choices galore! They have some culinary creativity that is sure to please. Their spring rolls and rice are delicious! I will be back there again and over time I'll eat my way through their menu. This place is worth going out if your way for. They also have a convenient drive thru. It's a family owned business and their commitment shows.”

“I can only write the food because we visited the business when it was closed. They provided donuts for my sister's wedding. When we came to pick them up the staff was very friendly and helpful for loading. The donuts were fabulous! They were a big hit at the wedding. Price was reasonable.”

“There were a few teenagers working. When we arrived, they had an upset customer to deal with from the service he received days prior. The kids handled him professionally and were apologetic, though he acknowledged they weren't the ones working that day. It was busy. They worked hard to get everyone's sandwiches made and had great manners. Great work, kids!”

“Annie's food is wonderful, prepared as requested, and very delicious. Prices for entrés range from $10-$20 and may or may not include sides. Desserts are, at the very least, decadent and in-house made. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and surrounding area. A must-try if you have never been here. See you soon! “We went for a hot dog and were pleasantly surprised to find this place. It seems it is a fairmont classic for hot dogs. The staff were friendly and we had the best hot dog of the day on our hot dog road trip! Just a heads up; it is cash only.”

“Atmosphere- 5 stars- this quant little eatery resides in an old building on the end of the Mid-City bridge located on the West side of Fairmont WV. The inside has been redone making it a modern yet cozy area decorated with photos of well known chefs and vines of white flowers accented with white lights strung on the wall. The place is super clean and offers a small area with deserts and bakery items.Service- 5 stars- Kevin was our waiter and he was friendly and very attentive.Food- 5 stars- they offer daily specials and a decent beer and wine list. I had the dirty rice with chicken, beef and hot peppers. It was awesome. It must be a popular dish because I saw many people ordering it. I also had the roasted red pepper chicken bisque for a starter and again it was delicious. My wife got the blackened chicken breast sandwich with Swiss cheese and a side of fries. She said it was one of the best chicken sandwiches she had ever had.I would highly recommend stopping here. From what I understand it’s get quite busy in the evenings. We went mid afternoon and beat the rush.Parking: Small side lot which when restaurant is busy could fill up fast however there is street parking in the area and it’s free.”

“Ridiculously long line at times, but the large variety of avalanches, sundaes and other specialty stuff make the wait worth it. My personal favorite is the strawberry shortcake avalanche. Also, do know that they only accept cash; there is an ATM inside, however.”

“The food was great! Everybody enjoyed what they got, and the ice cream is some of the best I've had! We got there at 11 on a Wednesday, and was sad cause Google said they were closed. We went and checked anyway and they were open! So definitely double check if Google says they're close because they're definitely worth a stop!Kid-friendliness: Definitely kid friendly.
