Awful service nasty food waited for 2 dinners asked to pull up of course, after 20 mins of watching everyone behind us get food and new cars coming in got their food we go in reverse back to the window our food just sitting there on the counter cold and she serves it to us knowing it was there that long... her response " I didn't take your order " really?? Like ppl are saying the food is to expensive not to be fresh, hot and good!!! Won't be back !!!

Just got some jalapeño poppers that I thought were going to be an order of 10 but we’re only 8. I worked there for 2 years and they were always 10 while being 2.99 and now for 8 you get charged 4.59. Absolutely ridiculous.

Waited 15 mins for food after ordering through drive thru and you would think fresh right? No the fries were hard as a rock and the ones that had a bit of soft were chewy like they were stale. The hushpuppies were awful! They tasted burnt and had weird black stuff all over them which we hoped was old grease or something .Either way we didn't eat it...for 30.00 this is ridiculous.

So I decided to grab a couple Giant Spicy sandwiches for myself and the wife. I went through the drive-thru, thinking it would save some time. Wrong! They asked me to pull up by the front door, and they would bring out the sandwiches when they were ready. Well, after sitting there watching other cars come and go for 20 minutes. I decided to go in and see what was up with my order. The girl up front called back to the person in the kitchen on her headset. She told me that she was waiting on my 2nd sandwich, which would be up shortly. Now I've worked in plenty of restaurants (even owned my own pub) and I couldn't understand why the fish for both sandwiches was not dropped at the same time! I finally got my food, and it was great, but they really need to work on that timing. I hate to think how long I would have sat at the front door if I hadn't gone in to check. So, 3 stars for the service. I didn't rate the atmosphere, but it's pretty standard for a fish joint.

Wish I could give ZERO stars. Wanted to order 10 pieces of fish not the meal, just the fish because their sides are always horrible. She says they don't sell that and would have to charge me for 10 individual pieces at 3.09 each. Thats over $30 for just fish so I go ahead and order the meal. (Big sign that says 27.99 for 10 piece meal) tell her to please make fries well done. She says we drop them for every order. Ok???? So I said well done please again. Get to window she charges me 29.99 plus tax for the meal. I tell her the sign says 27.99 on the drive through menu board. She says, "Well I didn't make the sign". Yikes. Get home and of course the fries aren't even close to being done let alone well done. Looks like they dropped them in grease and pulled them right back up. Fish is super soggy. Pulled us up and waited 23 minutes for $32 worth of food that is inedible. Will not be back. Ever. Your cashier Tiffany needs some customer service training and I know that my food was sent out that way on purpose because of her attitude.

Pull up to the parking lot and all 3 employees were smoking weed outside the building and then. Walking the building in the first thing they said was. Hell No!!! I will not cook nothing else cause we're closing in 30 minutes...I WILL NOT EAT AT ANOTHER CAPTAIN D'S IN MY LIFE TIME

I haven't been here in a hot minute, but I have been craving it so badly that I had to search on Yelp. My friend and I away from home have been missing it a lot recently. Seeing such negative reviews, I must share my experiences.I LOVE THIS CAPTAIN D'S. I grew up on their fish and fried okra with cocktail sauce. The fries and hush puppies in the cocktail sauce too. Everything belongs in the sauce. The food is fried and crispy and so delicious. Don't waste the fried crumbs; they are probably the best part. The sweet tea and crushed ice are the best. My mom loves the bread, and although it isn't my type of bread in general, I've always appreciated how fresh and sweet it smells.They do generally take a bit long for orders, but it always comes out fresh. I have been here dozens of times, and I have truly never had a bad food experience. The dining area is cute too. I like how there are somewhat separated seating areas so you can have your own private space if that's what you're feeling. The crowd here is usually families and older folks. Absolutely check your mail for coupons.Thank you Captain D's, I miss you :'(
