Literally, the best seafood place in the very northern Virginia and Martinsburg WV area. They specialize in crab dishes. I have never had Crab Imperial before, and I tried it here for the first time. My taste buds died and went to seafood heaven! My son got a ribeye that was beyond huge! The crab legs ordered by the better half overflowed the plate. The fare is pricey, so be ready - but well worth it. The atmosphere is very casual, so feel free to arrive in sandals and shorts! Don;t let the goofy exterior decor fool you - go in!

The crab cake was delicious. Great crab flavor but a little over fried as the crust was a bit burnt. Soft shell crab was as good as any. Super crust had great flavor and was quite m at. Frozen fries. Decent coleslaw. Not a fan of plastic utensils. OK service. Not cheap at all.

Worst experience ever. I was threatened, cursed at and insulted. I will never go here again. The only reason I went here was because Just in Time Seafood was closed. To make it worse the crabs were terrible. They were dirty, mushy, over seasoned and over cooked. What a waste of $120. Not sure if this was on purpose since the wait staff was so nasty to me. The restaurant was also filthy, no one had a mask and they had only been open 15 minutes. According to the latest health department report they had 27 violations. Skip this place and go to Just in Time Seafood, they are friendly, clean and a wonderful place to eat.

This is not to be missed in Martinsburg! The scallops are the very best, excellent crab dip, gator tail and hush puppies! YUM...we will be back!! Love the atmosphere!

Its been at least 4 years since I've had steamed crabs. I was currently living in Fredericksburg, VA and had a hard time finding any. I moved back to Boyce, VA and saw a Facebook post of two of my friends enjoying crabs and knew I had to get some. I was surprised to find that Mother Shuckers was only 30 minutes away! I ordered a dozen large crabs and when I arrived, they were all packed up and ready to go. Nicely seasoned and perfectly cooked. This is going to be my new Sunday thing until November.

I was so excited to try this place out since it’s so close to home but service was awful! It took forever just to place our drink orders. We got up and left. Server didn’t seem to care anyway. What a shame. We went on a Saturday at 330 PM.. two other tables were there.

Friendly staff at the Chesapeake Crab And Seafood. I thought the large crabs were cooked deliciously but did not think they were as meaty as in years past at other vendors. The seafood platter was very delicious with side options to choose. The French fries were a decent portion but the corn fritters were so small in comparison to the fries.

We always stop here for steamed blue crabs when we are in the area. This visit they had jumbo steamed crabs and they were delicious. The service is great and the seafood fresh. It is always worth a stop for seafood. Try them is you are in the area.

Each time we have eaten here the crabs have been good and also the shrimp, scallops and oysters. The service is great also. We have taken friends and family and they have been very pleased also.We plan to return many more times. We live around and hour and a half from the Seafood Resraurant and it is well worth it.

Stumbled across this little gem passing through West Virginia and boy was it worth it. The seafood was fresh and well prepared, crabs had great flavor and were meaty. Their crab cakes were crab, not sawdust and mayonnaise and very tasty. They are very laid back, go to the cooler and get your own beer laid back. Owner is behind the counter and talks with everybody, very attentive. Great food, drinks and atmosphere. I can not wait for dinner tomorrow!
We wanted fresh steamed crabs for takeout, not resteamed crabs. They had them. They were an average size, but the flavor was great. We had purchased from them for years as Chesapeake crab, but they have new owners now who are very knowledgeable of Maryland seafood.

Stopped in Martinsburg for an overnight with the family driving home from vacation and happened upon this seafood gem. A tiny restaurant broken into several small rooms. It is also known as Muther Shuckers, so don't be confused. We arrived at 8:30pm. Apparently this is a good time as we overheard the waiter saying earlier or later is ideal since they are typically slammed at prime dinner hours. What can I say other than everything was amazing. Blackened grouper sandwich, steamed jumbo shrimp, crab legs, cucumbers & onions in sour cream and vinegar, hush puppies all amazing! Crab cake sandwich was a bit over cooked and bland for my taste. People at the table next to us had a tray of blue crabs that they devoured! Service was excellent! Only thing missing was sweet tea (too far north maybe) and an ocean breeze. Will definitely be back next time we come through.
