Absolutely the worst food I have had yet in Martinsburg. The salad I ordered was wilted and the vegetables were soggy, had to send it back. My daughter's tuna melt was brown. The tuna was actually brown and extremely fishy smelling. The excuse we got was that's just what their tuna looks like! They grill their tuna. I'm sorry but either they use extremely old and cheap tuna or extremely old, cheap, and bad tuna is what they serve. I have never seen tuna look like that. I got the chicken Cordon Bleu sandwich right off the bat my bread was soggy on the bottom the chicken was flavorless. The only thing editable was the tater totes I got besides fries. My son got a simple hamburger his too flavorless and bland. Everything just seems as if it's frozen. We will never waste our money on this place again. I spent $48 on a meal that NO one liked. When I told the person who rang us out she didn't care and didn't even try to make it right or offer a discount. I had to ask for them to remove the salad from my bill that I sent back and didn't get it because my server didn't bother to take it off our bill even though it was the very first thing I did. My advice DON'T WAIST YOUR MONEY YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED.

This place isn't bad. Much more roomy and nice than the outside suggests. Nothing I've had there has been bad, so it's a good choice for a meal if you like keeping it local vs chain restaurants.

As a housing case manager at Telamon, it is part of my my job to secure meals for all of my clients for the holidays. I decided to reach out to the manager, Dan, this time prior to Easter and am so gladI did. Dan was wonderful and worked with me to explain what they could do and everything that was included, he provided a discount on each meal for our clients, and was very helpful and nice. When my co-workers and I picked up the meals we were greatly impressed with everything. The meals were all rwady and bagged up, the mac and cheese was in seperate containers, and each roll was individually wrapped, plus they provided plenty of utensils and butter. The manager and another employee also helped us carry everything out and put it in the vehicle for us. Not only was everyone friendly and professional, the restraunt was clean and looked great, and the food smelled and looked great. After we delivered the meals, I recieved calls/texts from several of the clients saying that the food tasted great as well. I highly recommend Martinsburg Family diner because their food is great, the service is wonderful, and they truly care about the community. Thank you all so much for your help. We will definitely be back!!

Throwback spot with reasonable prices. The menu is considerable, mostly standard American fare. The hours of operation are extensive. Had a prime rib dinner that was a daily special. The prime rib was delicious, mashed potatoes were average, but accompanying side salad had been chilled too long, the lettuce was frozen. The hot open face turkey sandwich with a side of coleslaw is straightforward, no lack of yellow gravy. Service is a bit slow however the staff is conscientious and works hard. I observed a waitress taking her time to assist a severely handicapped customer--showing a lot of TLC and respect in the process. That will get praise from me every time. Those with special needs will be treated well here. The square footage is substantial. It's one of the bigger diners that I've been to. Has many booths--my fav seating.

We were traveling from New Jersey to the city of Martinsburg and came across this family diner. While this is a big place it had the feel of a small mom and pops place. The food was great and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. We definitely recommend coming here and supporting your local businesses.

This place was like walking into the past because it had all of life's good qualities going on.Conrad greeted us at the door and at first appeared disinterested. After a brief conversation pried out of him it was revealed they were very short-handed because someone died in the family of an employee who called out so they were short-handed.We came to this restaurant because I did not believe a person could buy an entire meal for $9.99. Being a visitor to the state I was stunned to eat this cheeseburger, fries, coleslaw, and a Pepsi for $9.99. My next thought was it would be tiny portions and icky food. This place was quite the contrary to my expectations. The service (Conrad) was perfect. My food was delicious and hot and freshly brought to my table by the cook, I think. The size of the beef patty was significantly larger than a McDonald's cheeseburger ?. It was excellent actually. The restrooms were clean and well-maintained.Overall we plan on returning very soon as the menu is quite large.Kid-friendliness: Great place to bring children.

First warning sign was it was 5:30pm and only had 4 cars in the parking lot. Had marinated chicken sandwich. No flavor whatsoever. It wasn't even warm , nor were the French fries . I had to get up and find our waiter to ask for mayonnaise because the sandwich had no condiment on it , dry. I watched him after I requested the mayo and he just hung out at the bar area. then disappeared into the kitchen......About 10 min later , when my sandwich was gone he brought the mayo stating " I didn't forget , my manager distracted me". Too late. My dinner partner said his meat and cheese omelette was "okay". That was our last visit.

The food was good but the service was slow. We didn't get any refills, and it took a while to get the bill. Overall, an ok experience.

Went here to kill some time and decided to get breakfast. Inside is clean and spacious, and Tara waited on me, she was amazing. I had French toast with the works, with a side of home fries and herbal tea. It really hit the spot! If I'm in town again I'm definitely coming back.Parking: There's a spacious free parking lot.Kid-friendliness: Would be a great place for kids, there's a lot to look at and they even have some games here.
