“This is better then any resturant in Bridgeport and definitely worth the drive!! We will definitely be back. He got the "Po Boy sandwich " and as you can see they don't skimp on anything. I've never seen shrimp that big ?!! Also my burger (With sautéed peppers onions and jalapeños) was so so good best burger ive had in a long long time. Fries were fresh cut and mashed potatoes were amazing as well. Oh and the sweet tea yep that's the southern sweet tea just like it should be? “I've been living in WV for over a year for school... and I've had more than my fill of bar food or weak imitations of cultural cuisine. It seems to be the only thing that is done well or with any consistency in this state.To be honest, I wasn't expecting much in the way of cuisine from Clarksburg either, a dying coal town nestled in the decaying buildings of better years long past, but the experience I had here was lovely. I can tell the owner/chef is trying to bring an experience of flavors and good food to this forgotten town, and she succeeds. We had the escargot (in WV?!) and it was very tasty. That, along with the crab pasta special and mushroom ravioli it was a treat to have some good food again.I wish her success in the future. Change has to start somewhere, and from what I can tell the dining room at Hart's kitchens is as worthy a spot as any for that to occur. Thanks!“

“Ordered food from there today since I’m in Bridgeport on business. Excellent food, great service, personable staff, and I love that it’s a small hole-in-the-wall restaurant and bar. I got the pork belly and the ole Tex burger and my one and only complaint is that my burger was a little overdone. Beyond that, super delicious. Also, shoutout to the wait staff who gave me a sweet tea when I went to pick up my order because I couldn’t find the non-alcoholic drinks online.My only regret is that I couldn’t stay to try out some cocktails.Amazing food, and if I’m ever in Bridgeport again I will be going back. “The staff was friendly. We did have to notify the bar tender that we had arrived because it's seat yourself. The booths needed wiped down and she was happy to do it.The large salad was absolutely a large!! It was a simple salad with fresh crisp lettuce and red ripe tomato. The house dressing is fantastic! The ribeye sandwich with cheese on garlic bread was also extremely tasty! The meat was juicy and it had good flavor I think I would have enjoyed it even more with a slice of tomato on it!Overall, the meal was delicious. I will be back on our next visit to Clarksburg. “I moved to the area a few years ago, and had wanted to stop many times. I finally did, and loved the atmosphere so much, it has become my go to. Its basically an everyone knows everyone kind of place, friendly staff, good usuals, and the food is well above the normal for a bar and grille. We honestly have cravings for their steak sandwiches at least once a week and have to pop in. You won't regret stopping in for some food,a drink,and conversation. We've never had any sort of issue at Franklin's as we have at a few other places. Love love love it!“
“Hot dogs, hamburgers and hand cut fries! Our favorite is the burger bundle. Fresh hand pattied burgers with all the trim. They also have great hot dog bundle deals with decent chili(chili isn't my favorite). Milkshakes are really good, but the fries are my favorite.“
