Visited this place for the first time this weekend. Went on Saturday and loved it so much I went back today. The chicken sandwich with homemade pickles is amazing. So are the fries. Food is made when you order so it's hot and fresh. Portions are huge. Service was fantastic. I see myself going there at least weekly from now on.

We are road tripping from Michigan to North Carolina with a stop in WV. We thought we'd take a chance on a local restaurant. We were the only sit down customers when we stopped to this nice clean spot. We were greeted by the owner of this nice little cafe. I appreciated the small menu, we made our selections and the food came just slow enough to know it was made fresh. The food was awesome (bigger portions than we needed), but it was excellent. Do yourself a favor, check it out sometime!

Amazing neighborhood sandwich place. The foci are burgers and chicken sandwiches. Great chicken and sauces. Huge portions. Reasonable prices. Service was extremely friendly if a little slow. Ambiance is corner place.

First time at First Place Cafe the food was very good and the service was great. They were very friendly and helpful and you get plenty of food. If you leave hungry it's your own fault. I had the bacon steak burger and fries. Burger was cooked perfect and the fries were seasoned just right.

Small space with big diner-style meals! To start, the chicken sandwich is the choice for first-time 1st Place Cafe goers, and be hungry when you come. It is huge and is a take on a southern-style chicken sandwich. Service takes a minute, depending on the time of day. I have gone at lunch, and before they close, times to wait were longer. The server takes the order at the register and brings it to the table when done. But I think they only have room for one server, my guess from observing. Soft drinks are bottles, and you can order a cup of ice with them. If you get french fries with a sandwich, expect to get about 1 lb of fresh diner style fries made with peanut oil. You also want to check their Facebook posts for if they have to close due to staff illness, etc. I was told the location is an old Rio Express (Mexican), but it is very clean and organized for the small dining space. Every wall has a TV, so it can be good to get a drink and watch games. Parking is just 6-10 spaces right in front of the building, so you have to back out into the road. It is a good non-chain diner-style food, and if we support them they might be able to grow into a bigger place! ?Parking: Careful backing out onto the main road!

Only 1-2 other tables eating.Food - 3/5 - We ordered a chicken sandwich / fries, burger / fries, and kids chicken strips. We instantly noticed the breading color on the kids chicken was off and the same on my sandwich. It wasn’t raw but the breading was odd/off. Guessing the oil wasn’t hot enough. Burger was really tasty! Fries weren’t exactly to my liking but that’s a personal preference.

Quaint little joint. These folks really put love into their food! The Original Chicken Sandwich is probably one of the best things I've ever had in the Charleston area. The fries are delicious, especially dipped in the house-made spicy mayo. It's a small crew, so don't expect to get your food super fast like a larger restaurant. However, it's well worth the wait!! As for value, I do think these folks should increase their prices. The portions are massive and I felt like I should be paying at least a few dollars more. Will definitely be a repeat customer!
Nashville Blue was the best chicken sandwich I've ever eaten! Friendly pleasant greeting at otherwise very unassuming locale. Full bar behind the counter. Very small menu done extremely well - that's an excellent approach. Our food looked exactly like the Yelp pictures and that's a compliment and shows care and consistency. Call and order ahead if you're in a hurry- because everything shall be made to order. Can't wait to return. I promised an excellent review on way out and I don't give those lightly!

I cannot imagine a better chicken sandwich. In fact, shame on me for trying. The sweet and savory chicken sandwich is worth doing some very questionable things. I'm sure the other entrees there are great too, but I simply do not care. You'll also find yourself eating fry after fry, without realizing you've had 317 of them. It takes supreme will power to not be there gorging myself at the time of this review.

This place was amazing! Be prepared to eat. Your french fries are going to come out in a basket that is full from side to side, edge to edge, and bottom the top. They're amazing! I had a burger when I went that couldn't have been tastier. A buddy of mine got the chicken sandwich and had enough to take half of it off to take home with him. I wish I would have thought to take a picture.
