We live a few miles away and we've enjoyed several French restaurants in this building for almost two decades. The current owners have truly outdone all the prior owners. This is not the first time we've been here under current management, but last night was the best experience ever!My husband and I enjoyed (a split portion of) the soup of the day, chicken soup with lots of vegetables, followed by the Norwegian salmon. Every component was beautifully cooked - my husband's medium and my medium-rare were perfect with skin so crunchy my husband didn't even remove it; the asparagus was cooked al dente as it should be, the mashed potatoes were tasty, and the ravigote sauce provided the perfect acidic counterpoint. Last but not least, our espresso martinis were great - perfect choice of cinnamon variety and amount. Our server, Taylor, was personable and professional, and made sure that food and drinks were served promptly and as ordered. As someone with a gluten intolerance, I was grateful that Taylor gave me choices and placed the GF bread order early enough that it arrived together with the regular bread. For the first time ever in this restaurant, my husband and I were able to share the three different kinds of butters without my having to beg him to save some for me! (Note: he rarely eats butter.) The kitchen and the front (including the Maitre d' - sorry I didn't ask his name) did an outstanding job last night!Strongly recommended!!!Dietary restrictions: Gluten-intolerant friendly

Absolutely wonderful dinner at Bistro 112. The food was great, especially the lamb shank, trout, and the bread basket. The service was wonderful, and our waitress was very attentive. She made sure my grandma (who doesn’t have the best hearing or sight) knew what was on the menu and was very courteous to her.

Everything I was excited for about this place fell flat. Service was decent, but the room we were shoved into was cramped and damp. Food was subpar for what I was expecting and for the price. Platting was fantastic, but the taste just wasn't there. We waited quite a long time for our drinks.

The Bistro 112 is a lovely gem of a restaurant in Shepherdstown, WV!I have been here a few times now with friends and the food has been wonderful every time! (I've included photos of food and desserts from a couple of different visits)The servers have always been delightful and always go above and beyond to be helpful, warm, and welcoming. They have both indoor and outdoor seating available and both options are wonderful!

My wife and I ate lunch here for the first time earlier this week with another couple and found Bistro 112 to be a delightful little cafe. The atmosphere was inviting and relaxed with attentive service to match. I ordered the Pesto Chicken sandwich which was very tasty and my wife enjoyed her salad though it wasn't as substantial as she expected. According to our friends, the French Dip and fries were quite tasty and the French Onion soup was especially good. We'll be going back again to try that!Parking: On a busy day, street parking would be more difficult though there are a couple of small lots within a few blocks.

I haven't tried the food, but the martinis are the best. Ask for Cari - she's the best bartender and makes the best martinis!

Wish we could have eaten or tried something here. We came on a day-trip from DC to explore the town. There was a sign outside saying there was a free wine tasting, so we thought we would go and try, one of us actually works in wine and specializes in Latin American wines. As we sat at the bar and waited for the Chef to come set up, an older woman asked us if we’d been helped yet. We told her we were waiting for the wine tasting, and immediately she started making strange comments, like “none of you look old enough to drink” (we’re ages 39, 30, and my younger sister who’s 20 and was not going to drink with us) and “they look younger and younger every day”. She asked for our IDs, my sister said she wasn’t drinking and we began to look for ours. I realized I hadn’t brought mine, which wasn’t an issue I could just order a bite or something else, but then she muttered another comment like “well that’s a very important factor to a wine tasting” or something like that, and walked away. At this point we decided to leave, we felt judged and unwelcome, like an inconvenience.Everyone else was pleasant, the host and bartender, just this one lady that made us feel strange. Might come back and try again as this place has excellent reviews, but it won’t be anytime soon.

My high school friends and I were in the area this past week and the Bistro perked our interest. We were not disappointed we were greeted and treated very well. The food was exceptional and very large portions. You must try their soups and visit in the spring or summer to enjoy their back patio Seating, we thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere and would highly recommend visiting this restaurant.

Had my birthday dinner there. The place is cozy and historic. I have the trout in brown butter sauce My wife had the portobello and spinach Wellington. Both were delicious. The service was excellent. I thought the prices were reasonable. The town is small and fun with some very cool shops!

Best meal I've had in a long time. Went for dinner, had the trout that came with a hazelnut brown butter sauce that was incredible. Sides were delicious, the bread and butter service was awesome, and dessert might have been the best part - a homemade lemon macaroon with vanilla bean filling. Definitely on my list of must go restaurants whenever I'm in the area
