Looking for a lunch stop not too far off the highway. The chicken Philly was excellent. The bun was so soft and the spices on the meat and onions/peppers were great. They make their own chips and they were nicely crispy. Hubby had Philly cheesesteak mac and cheese and it was very delicious. Staff friendly and attentive. Very glad we stopped in.

Great mix of family friendly atmosphere and local watering hole. Don't miss out on the deep fried deviled eggs or the homemade potato chips!

Great food. I've never had a bad meal at Backwoods, and they have an extensive menu. The bar area is also a welcoming place.

We brought a large group in (soccer team), and the staff handled us amazingly well. The food was excellent. Delicious burgers, and you have to try the deep fried deviled eggs. All-around great spot. We'll stop every time we are passing through!

I'll start with the good. The place was clean including the bathrooms. The people were friendly (both staff and patrons). Overall it wasn't bad. The food was the disappointment. It was average pub fare at best to below average. For the owners a Monte Cristo has turkey on it, not just ham. You basically make a deep fried ham and cheese, not a Monte Cristo. It was the worst Monte Cristo I ever had I'm sorry to say. The rest of the food was okay, nothing great, nothing bad, just food to fill the belly. Bottled beer and tap beer is the routine stuff you can find anywhere. Prices were good for the portions.

Nice little hole in the wall, not far off the highway. We stopped in passing through for a bite to eat and grab a beer. We were glad we did. The wings were really good, and the burgers were on point. The bartender was excellent. If you're passing by, give it a try.

Great little find on our travels from Ohio to North Carolina. Less than 1 Mike off of I77. Good variety on menu. The chicken Philly wash served hot and was delicious. Side salad and coleslaw fresh and tasty.

The food is absolutely fantastic. The service is excellent and their prices is very reasonable. Try the Parmesan crusted chicken breast. Absolutely delicious and the Mac and cheese was delicious as well. I personally have not had anything I did not like from there.
