One of my favorite places to sit down and eat, the waitresses are always super friendly and inviting. Their food is also great, (affordable as well) they have quite a few options, the famous gyro has to be my favorite. I recommend this place to all my friends and anyone that is reading this, A1!

The service here sucks…which is a shame…because the food is great. And it’s conveniently located across the street from my work…

The food was delicious and it was ready very quickly! We had a skinny calzone and our toddler had spaghetti and meatballs. Everyone loved their food!

If I could give lower than one star I would right now. Went to pick up a cake for a birthday that was called in well in advance and was told they forgot to make the cake. Well Happy Birthday to my friend. The baker was sick, well was the phone service out as well and you couldn’t call so we could make other arrangements for a birthday party in one hour. If I would have gotten a phone call I would understand because I know sometimes things happen, but this is unacceptable and I would highly discourage anyone reading this from patronizing Sokolata at anytime in the future. This is a second time we’ve had issues and I was willing to give them a second chance. There will be no third chance, I promise you and I am also forwarding this to the BBB as well. Unbelievable.

First time here. EZ parking out front. Great, friendly service! They serve Italian and Greek food....pizza, calzones, Greek salad, Gyros, sub sandwiches, lasagna, and much more. I'm sure much of it is tasty and good, and there's a big variety. Today, I had a Greek side salad with feta cheese and 2 calamari olives and 2 cherry tomatoes. It was OK. Then, a gyro that didn't taste at all like seasoned lamb. It tasted like beef and nothing like the gyro meat should taste like. The tazaki sauce was all at the end, and I had to open the gyro and spread it myself.....weird. They also heavily toasted the pita bread to the point that it was almost burnt beyond being edible to eat. That's all I was tasting in this gyro was the burned pita. Even the tazaki sauce tasted bland. I'm sure there's some good redeeming dishes to be had. It's just not going to be the writers cup of tea for the future. You decide.Kid-friendliness: OkWheelchair accessibility: Ok

Entered and seated ourselves, waitress hiding behind counter playing with her phone. Service was slow, most likely because the waitress kept goofing off on her phone. Overwhelming smell of floor cleaner, bucket left out in the middle of the restaurant for our entire visit. Waitress notably didn’t wash hands in between touching mop bucket, phone, napkins for guests, dirty dishes, credit cards, etc.Gyro was not good. Meat tasted decent, but overly dry. Bread was decent, but it had some kind of oil spread across it; oil had a very unappealing taste. Sauce wasn’t spread across the gyro, rather it was in a huge pile on one end of the gyro. In the end, just ate the meat, the bread was that off putting.Jalapeño poppers were outstanding. Ranch dipping sauce was also great.“Londan” was really good. The bread was perfect and the flavors were just right, a really good sandwich.Chips that came with the sandwiches are really good.Had to ask to get our check, waitress took my credit card and then started helping a new customer without processing my payment giving him distracted service while making us wait for no good reason.

Food is fantastic and portions very large. I only wish they offered lemon wedges for water. I don't drink soda. But the food is so good. The bathroom is in poor condition and in need of a good scrubbing or updating. It made me question how clean the kitchen is, if I'm being honest. But it's not the only place like this so I'm hoping, as it appears, that all their effort goes into what comes out of the kitchen instead.

We look forward to stopping here when we make our biannual doctor's visit at the hospital across the street. We usually turn it into a picnic, but this time ate indoors. It's nothing sleek, but I like the old school vibe. There were only 2 servers working, and given that fact, the service was excellent. Seat yourself and they'll come to your table with menus. If you want dessert (which I recommend), go up front and check out the beautiful selections first. We love their gyros (got a side salad/delicious dressing, instead of fries/chips). Whether drive thru or eating in, just go... we need to keep our old school eateries.

I enjoy this restaurant and I just saw a video announcing weekend specials. I hope to enjoy some this weekend.

ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS check your food before you leave the drive through. 9.8 times out of 10, they will have your order messed up. $30 worth of food for my family and not one single item was made correctly. This is the absolute worst restaurant for it, too. Will save my money next time and go elsewhere from now on.

I know I'm a little late on a Sokolata review. However, I was in South Charleston today and grabbed the opportunity. I'm a big Crepizza fan, btw. I think they have one of the best pizzas in Charleston. Sokolata is owned by the same people. I got an 8-inch Italian hoagie with no lettuce. I wasn't feeling too "lettucey" today. It was a little over $11. I'm sure their pizzas are comparable to Crepizza, but I couldn't justify spending $18-$20 or more on a pizza for myself today. Plus, I wasn't ravenous. The hoagie wasn't bad. It didn't have a lot of "umph" to it. You know, some hoagies are just pretty. This looked more like a normal hoagie I'd make at home. I wouldn't go out of my way to go buy one, but if I was in the area and a friend wanted to stop by there, I would. It's probably a solid 6 on a scale of 1 to 10. Service was good. The cashier was nice as can be. That drive-thru is absolutely terrifying, though. You can't see traffic!!! Next time, I'm just parking and going in.
