Rated average due to cost:value ratio. Make no mistake: the food here is fantastic. In my case, scallops and pasta cooked perfectly, delicious sauce, fresh salad and scrumptious bread —- not to mention great service. But four scallops on a bed of linguine for $36? In Weirton? A place like Dish Osteria in Pittsburgh takes about four months to get a Friday evening reservation and their most expensive entree is maybe $25. Something isn’t right here. There is a new Italian restaurant across the river in Wintersville receiving RAVE reviews (justified — I’ve eaten there) and their most expensive dish is $24. I wish La Cucina the very best success. But I don’t think their prices are sustainable for the area. We won’t be back.

Got a pizza and chicken park dinner to go which was $85. I added burratta to my pizza and when I got to my car I checked and there was none on the pizza. I went back in with a picture of the pizza telling them there was none on there & they proceeded to argue with me that is was on there. I literally showed them proof of the burratta (that I paid extra for) not being present. I ended up leaving without the problem being fixed. Wouldn’t be a big deal if it wasn’t $100 with tip lol. Kind of bizarre. Wont be ordering from here again. Only reason I’m giving two stars is because the girl that took my order was extremely kind.

Stopped here while we were traveling thru for a quick lunch. Our server was fine not overly attentive but didn't completely forget us either. Menu has a good variety of options but had more what I would call dinner options than lunch items. I had the lasagna & Fettuccine Alfredo option, reminded me a bit of olive garden. Husband opted just for the lasagna. All of it tasted fine and was a bit bland, nothing tasted bad but nothing by any means was 5 stars so just aline your expectations. Portions were a good size not tiny and not huge it was just right.

Worst Experience EVER. !!!! Waited over five minuets for a waitress to say hello. ? We ordered Gnocchi mine with White sauce UP CHARGED $3.50 SMALL amount. Where was the Chef cooking thus LUKE WARM PASTA DISHES ? In the bathroom for ten minuets on his phone. ? Next Issues $3.50 for a fountain coke. ? An UP CHARGE for Fresh PARMESAN Cheese, and FINALLY I was told if I used my Credit Card ther was and additional 4% SERVICE CHARGE. ARE YOU PEOPLE SERIOUS, ? This "FAMILY" Restaurant is still USING THE PANDEMIC EXCUSES of losing money. WE WILL NOT BE BACK. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. !!

Our family has was been traveling to the Weirton/Steubenville area for 7+ years visiting our kids at Franciscan U. We eat out a lot when we visit, but we had never been to La Cucina until today. Boy, we wasted a lot of years! It was excellent! The calamari appetizer was so good that my husband ordered another batch to go with his cavatelli entree— which was homemade— and delicious! The salads were fresh and the house dressing was a hit. Bread was hot and fresh. We also had two of the pizzas: the margarita and the New York— both so good! We used the extra calamari pomodoro dipping sauce with the pizzas. Yum! Our server, Amber, was delightful and efficient. We will be back the next time we are visiting!

Service was excellent. Chef came to our table to review the menu and the evening specials. Bread was hot out of the oven. Their version of a clam Rockefeller was unbelievable. One of the best lobster linguini i have ever had. Everything was piping hot and came out very fast. Spaghetti and meatballs we awesome with the meatballs the size of a small fist. Everything made fresh when you order. Only 15 minutes drive from the Homer Laughlin factory outlet. Glad we stopped!

Poor service, poor quality, inattentive staff. I came here after work today very hungry and tired. The restaurant did not appear busy, several staff were standing around, but failed to seat me, and I waited several minutes before anyone even greeted me and sat me at a table. I ordered water and the server brought me a bottle of water. I asked if the bottled water was complementary, and she said “no,” so I asked for tap water. She said, “we’re not allowed to serve tap water.” (I wondered, “is there a problem with their pipes? What civilized restaurant in the US does not serve tap water?”) I asked so is there any free beverage if tap water is not offered? She said, “no.” The waitress then said, “I will go talk to the manager.” By this time, I was just annoyed and truly not even impressed with the restaurant, service or the menu at this point. I turned to look at the manager and she looked unwilling to help. I decided to leave and she just waved “goodbye.” Definitely not going to have my service. I prefer to spend my money on food- an appetizer, entree, and dessert. What a disappointment this restaurant is. They’re selling water that probably costs 25-30cents per bottle- not even agua minerales- for $3. Their wreaking of desperation in sales. Go elsewhere!

Ordered 5 to go meals. Not even counting it was Luke warm, the food was just okay. Not terrible but nothing I’d ever say I’d have to go back for. Side salads were lettuce and one olive and the dressing, which I asked for, Italian, tasted like honey mustard. Unpleasant. The breadsticks tasted like uneaten and leftover pizza crust. Asked for extra sauce... didn’t get, pasta dry.

This is the best Italian food in the area, by far. Marinara sauce is among the best I've had- veal parm is always my favorite.

I didn't dislike it. It's another gambling parlor. Just takes you're money like all the rest.

This place is a gambling cafe and not a restaurant or a bar...but they do sell beer
