When calling to see if theres a long wait, the girl answering the phone was told "what do they want? Just hang up on them. Who calls during dinner rush?"Well, I did. Because i wanted to eat there before the Nailers game. However, i would choose fast food before here after that call.

I found 2 live roaches in my chicken salad. They climbed up out of the lettuce after covering it with ranch. Nobody was shocked at the restaurant. Huge health hazard!!
the food at this restaurant was delicious but slightly pricy, however the service was pretty bad. The waitress messed up our orders of kids meals (we are teenagers) bringing us adults meals instead even though when we ordered off the kids menu she said we were fine. Asked for side salads and were brought full sides salads and charged as such, asked for a kids meal and was brought an adult ad charged for an adult. 2 of the kids menus went through just fine despite us obviously being teenagers, but one was charged full price. There were also gratuity charged not mentioned and credit card charges that were not mentioned. The gratuity charge was given to us simply because we were teenagers (my parents were at a different table and were not charged automatic gratuity). We were compensated 25% off for each person, but the bill was still higher than it should have been since the 1 ordered off the kids menu. overall not a good experience, but great food.

it's not a good restaurant. Waitress gets the extra star. Here's why it's not good: They have "Try one of our 24 beers on tap!" on the menu but they have no beer list. Not just not on the menu, but no list. I could do this in 10 minutes. What you do is write all the beers on a list on a computer, then print it out and give it to the customers. The chef has no idea what "medium rare" is. I got a steak that was medium on one side, and medium well on the other. I don't waste food so i didn't send it back, and the steak was so far off of medium rare that i thought i would waste 2 steaks by sending it back. The brussel sprouts tasted like they were microwave in a bag. no flavor, no seasoning, no butter. You cut them in half, and either roast or fry them in butter and olive oil with garlic until the outer leaves char then salt and pepper. it's a restaurant, you're charging for them. the management is a fault. They seem to be in a transitionary stage but they shouldn't be open if they can't secure a competent chef and a beer list on a Friday evening

Sent my parents here for a special “date night” while they were in from out of town for a show at the Capitol. Made reservations in person and asked for it to be a special night. The restaurant and the waitress were AMAZING. They treated my parents like royalty and made their evening wonderful. Thank you and hats off to everyone at River City. ❤️❤️
