Stopped on our way out of town from spending a few days at Oglebay. I can’t believe how adorable the farm house is and how friendly the staff was. We came in around 10:00 AM thinking we would get breakfast, but when the two women who were working told us how fantastic the chicken salad is we had to jump right to lunch! They were not wrong!! The sandwich was phenomenal and I wouldn’t ordinarily eat lunch at 10 AM, but I’m glad I did!! It’s worth a drive down from the resort to get some fresh coffee, friendly discussion and fantastic food!

We were greeted as soon as we came in the door which was really nice! I came with my husband and two young children before we went up to oglebay to see the lights. I love the homey feeling of this location and there was even football on TV for my husband. lol. The coffee was great, the food was awesome, and they even had a gift shop. I will definitely be back!

Such a beautiful location to get some coffee and food. Perfect study spot. Love that there is ALL DAY BREAKFAST and the coffee flights are so unique and delicious. Staff is super friendly and sweet. The store is full of such great things perfect for Christmas shopping it “just because” gifts!Vegetarian options: Veggie wrap is phenomenal and the option to substitute items on other things like the avocado sandwich!!Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options! Alternative milks such as almond or coconut!Kid-friendliness: Playground outside and board games at every table!

There was quite a big snafu with a purchase my mother made from Nicky's. A staff member was rude and acted rather sketchy refunding my mother for a defective fountain she bought. The owners stepped in and remedied it quickly. They refunded my mother's money and sent her a very touching apology letter. The owner's at Nicky's have a real heart for the people. Thank you for stepping in! It means a lot!

Nicky's has beautiful flowers, trees, shrubs, fruits, herbs, and garden plants. They pay their plants more individualized attention than some other stores but as a whole, Nicky's does not grow their plants from seed, their plants are shipped to them in bulk. As far as fruit, vegetable and herbs, I have bought some that are better and some that are worse than stores such as Lowes. As far as shrubs such as boxwood, I have bought some that are better and some that are worse than Walmart. And as far as the prices, I think many of their plants are over priced. But as a whole, the plants are centered around helpful workers and a beautiful store. I just can't recommend them for everyone or everyone's needs because there are some things that are just cheaper of the same quality at stores such as Lowes and Walmart.

The land is absolutely stunning and the old feel of the house is just charming. All of the plants are beautiful and to top that off you can sip the most delicious coffee or warm beverage as you are looking at everything. The service is great, and will always have you leaving with a smile!
