Stopped here on our way to Billings. First of all, it is a nice place, a welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff. Now, onto the food. My fiance and I both had the cheesy broccoli soup to start. It was ok, but seriously lacked seasoning and tasted more like it was from a can. We then both had the 8oz Bison Sirloin at $35 a piece. This is where it went downhill fast. Upon ordering, the server asked us if we wanted any seasoning on our steaks. She offered Cajun or Montreal seasoning. Well, as someone who eats steak often, I assumed these were just optional from the basic seasoning you would expect with a steak. We didn't want either, and we both said just as it comes from the grill. Well, hell, if both steaks didn't come plain as plain can get. No salt or pepper or basic seasoning of any sort. It was like biting into a hot piece of bloody flavored meat. The server/ menu should have stated that the steak is very much seasonless unless you choose the Montreal seasoning, which I found out after the fact was the basic salt pepper, etc, seasoning. Not impressed. Also, I have had Bison before, and to be honest, this tasted like a regular steak. Bison has a distinct flavor, and this didn't have it. The fries were probably the best part of the meal. My fiance refused the steak and went hungry, and I dumped half the salt and pepper shakers on my steak to try and get some flavor with minimal results. Now, I would try this place again as it has potential, but there should be more disclosure on how the steaks are prepared/ seasoned. Telling me after that you don't season the steaks at all and you keep it optional because too many people complain about the seasonings, it's a pretty poor excuse. Would recommend, but be sure to ASK IN DEPTH ABOUT THE SEASONINGS on anything you order.

Ribeye was the worst I've ever had. It was a grey colored steaked that had the texture of hello. Couldn't eat it. $36 for the worst ribeye.

Excellent food and fascinating decor. Friendly service. Recommend the Elk Burger. Yummy. But they don't serve Bison burgers--too bad. Cherry pie was superb.

Prices didn’t match expectations of food, burger tasted good but looked like a frozen patty that took 45 minutes to make and get out by which point my wife’s loaded potatoes, became cold when served. Just thought for that price homemade potatoes, and not frozen pattie’s. $19.50 pictured. High note, their holiday dip tasted amazing.

Big Boy Dining Out

Bozeman Trail Steakhouse- Buffalo Wyoming-1-Star Believe all of the previous reviews. The servers here are THE most obnoxious, unprofessional, rude Gen-Z kids I have ever seen. The one girl was verbally abusing two elderly women. I decided to support the women and started explaining to the servers, customers should be allowed to sit where they want. One girl exploded in anger and said "WE HAVE RULES." I replied "well, we sure wouldn't want great customer service to occur if it contravenes "The Rules"." Then like a slow motion play, the rudest of the pack, bellowed, "we are just doing our job." A phrase that never ever should be uttered in my presence as our 110k followers of Big Boy Dining out should know, "the oath of the mediocre." Anyway, all of the 87 previous reviews are spot on. The inmates do run the asylum. It's not like there are no other options. The place across the street had cars lined up 5 blocks to get in. The Big Boy says, "if you like being abused by a bunch of punk kids, then this is the place. Otherwise go across the street. #bigboydiningout #iamthebigboy

Service wasn't good. We were sat and then waited for our waitress to bring menu. Food wasn't remarkable. To tell you the truth I can't even remember what I ate. Wasn't good, but obviously wasn't bad either.
