just a wonderful place all around. incredibly friendly and caring staff, terrific food, and an atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. i’d give 6 stars if i could.

On a recent trip out west we decided to go to Ft. Laramie. As we left we looked for a place to eat. We found the Ft. Laramie American Grill on our route. When we saw it, we weren’t too sure about it but decided to go ahead and give it a try. Glad we did. We had a delicious and reasonably priced breakfast and a nice visit with Sandy and Donna. Sandy suggested we make a side trip to see the Oregon Trail wagon train ruts and the Register Cliffs that were nearby. We took his advice and glad we didn’t miss those since they were so close. If you are in the area, stop by and have breakfast and lunch and say hi to Sandy and Donna. You will be glad you did!

Stopped for lunch on 4th of July and was told they were out of food. Later that day, they posted on facebook that they were out of ice. I replied that they were also out of food, and was promptly called a liar. I live local and have been a regular customer for a year. Since that time I went for dinner with my family and was refused service. The food is marginal, the bar is basic, and the owners should be in California, where rudeness is the norm. Stay away if you truly want a good experience. And btw, there is an old letch that likes hitting on young girls, and they turn a blind eye

Holy cow! The food is amazing! We got the pancakes, French toast, chicken fried steak with gravy, ham breakfast. It was so good, we wished we could come back for dinner. We are traveling and this is a must stop. The service is good and polite. Don’t want to miss place to eat is my point.

What an amazing little gem in a tiny Wyoming townThe food was delicious - especially the fries! Oh. My. Goodness - the fries!! And they have fresh made iced tea. Always a plus. The owner is a wonderful and friendly older gentleman who loves to chat about the area and local attractions. I could have spent all day talking with him. The decor is perfect for this little place. It is so unassuming on the outside and small on the inside, but has huge personality.

I do not leave many reviews; When I do, it’s because something was really bad or beyond amazing. I can say that the Fort Bar and Grill was BEYOND AMAZING!! I stopped by there on the 4th of July and was greeted with huge friendly smiles. It was packed when I got there, and I was told that food was taking 45 minutes or so, but the beer would be cold while I waited. I want to personally thank the amazing owners for running this place like the family-run business it is. They took time away from their family to be open on the 4th of July while many other businesses were closed. I felt like one of their family the entire time I was there. And… Regarding the food, I would have waited much longer than 45 minutes for the Amazing pulled pork nachos. Thanks again, Kyle
