This was fun! It was nice hearing the family history. Loved the wagon ride. Food was good and definitely enough to fill you up. The team was very friendly and attentive making sure everyone had what they needed. Show was silly and fun but with real talent singing and playing instruments. It was easy to find and easy to park.Parking: On-site parking lotKid-friendliness: Dinner and the show are kid friendly!

I had a lot of fun at the Bar T 5 Covered Wagon Cookout. After spending a whole week hiking and exploring Grand Teton National Park, I was looking for something more relaxing to do to close out my time here in Wyoming. I have been to quite a few cowboy cookouts in my day and this looked like fun. Bar T 5 takes you out on horse-drawn covered wagons to a remote area where you are treated to dinner and a show. They have been doing this show since 1974. The meeting place itself is in the outskirts of Jackson. After checking in, you are given a brief history of the area and an overview of the schedule. There is a gift shop on hand and you can see some of the horses in the corral. After loading up on the wagon, you ride a couple miles to Cache Creek Canyon. Along the way, some outlaws ride up on horses to try and "hijack" the wagons. Once you arrive, you are seated until you hear the dinner bell ring to tell you food is ready. Dinner includes barbeque pork medallion, roast beef, salad, baked beans, corn, bread and a brownie. Food is served buffet style and isn't too bad. They allow seconds once everyone is served. I enjoyed the entertainment. The Bar T 5 band plays some old country songs mixed in with a little humor. They try to provide a setting that reminds you of the days of singing songs around a campfire. The girl on the fiddle worked the crowd and was the best part. I'm a big camper and love the outdoors and glad I signed up for this. This fun little cowboy cookout was a great way to finish up my week long trip to Jackson.

We were on a Collette Tour trip to the National Parks and was treated to dinner at the Bar T 5. A super location and show. Food probably close to what cowboys ate on the trail. Not the best, but that is not the point. The show with Chris and company are great. We were there in mid-September and the fiddle player was unbelievably good. We had a great time and would recommend this place for anyone. Especially appreciated the closing where the hymn "How Great Thou Art" was sung. Giving honor to the Creator who made the beauty that surrounded us in the Tetons.

Super fun experience, a little rushed to then solely be focused on the show. Would be nice to slow down the food piece and be able to eat while watching the show which is a little long without food. Also recommend opening to BYOB if having to sit for an hour with no food or drink.

Fun and unique experience for our group. The people were great to work with, helpful and made the process for planning simple. The group enjoyed dinner, the show, the engagement with the audience and of course, the chuck wagon rides!

I have been to the bar t show countless times. I have been going since I was just a kid woth my parents now I am taking my.iwn children. It is always a wonderful time. Great show, great food, great fun, kind people who are knowledgeable and fun. By far, the best bag for your buck activity in Jackson. Don't bother going to Jackson if you aren't going to Bar t. I will go back as many summers as possible!

We absolutely loved the experience start to finish. The ranch puts a lot of effort into what they do and they are very well organized and mindful of the guests. I would do this again in a heartbeat and hope to be able to do a winter sleigh ride in future. Thanks for making a childhood dream come true!Kid-friendliness: Family friendly fun for all ages! We had a great time! Our hostess was very knowledgeable about local lore. She was friendly and engaging. The food was good, the entertainment was great. The outlaws need improvement. Couldn't hear them really well and only 2 of them. The kids pretty much missed the point until we explained it and played along. Other than the need to vamp up the outlaws and their voices, the experience was great!

An enjoyable and historical wagon ride through the forest and up to the stage area. Our wagoneer was very knowledgeable about horses and quiet enough to give one the feeling of what it was like to travel by wagon back in the day. Some of the horseback riders guided the wagons and there were a few incidents that will thrill those in the wagon. The stage presentation had real musicians and funny characters. The food wasn't as good as I expected. The bean recipe was good but the beef brisket and chicken were not what I would consider barbecue. The over all experience and kindness of this family run operation is a blessing.

Our family wanted to love this experience but unfortunately it fell short. The staff were absolutely lovely and the wagon ride was unique. The horses seemed well cared for. However the food was downright terrible— basically inedible, particularly the pork in mustard sauce. It was impossible to chew. Hot dogs would have been far better. The show was ok, the humor was definitely on the cheesy side, but the fiddle players were good. Bathrooms were two port a johns in the woods nearby. If you have a baby or toddler, be aware that there are no high chairs and the experience is a bit over 3 hours from start to finish, which was a bit long for our young children. Ultimately the quality of the meal was so bad that this was a one and done for us.

We took our whole family to Bar T 5 last night. Chris, one of the owners and prime performer, greeted us at the venue but spoke so fast, at times, it was hard to understand him. We all loaded into wagons and were taken to the dinner tent some 2 miles away. We then were fed--the food was pretty tasteless--there was no chicken option, even though it was advertised. The roast beef was not as tough as the pork and both seemed to be of low quality. The corn was either frozen or canned and totally tasteless. The best part of the meal was the chocolate bar desert--in fact, I had two of them. Then came the entertainment--we were surprised to witness a fake confrontation and one of the main characters shot his rifle as the fake culprits rode off. In today's world where guns are everywhere, we did not understand why this was part of the presentation as it really added nothing. Then the character that shot the gun came and participated with Chris for some corny jokes ands stuff. The entertainment was ok. I would have graded the evening higher if the food had been better. I read the many reviews that spoke of the food being poor and the fact that Chris and his partners (perhaps his wife is his only partner), have not fixed this deficiency means to me that he does not care or does not read the reviews. I have had much more enjoyable evenings for the $500 we spent last evening at the Bar T 5 --I also almost never write reviews but was just very disappointed last evening.
