Have eaten here now 3 times. Not a bad place to eat, I think their prices vs portions are out of wack. There are better burgers in the valley, and salad bars that are less expensive. Our 1st visit was good had a burger/fries, and wife had the chicken strips. Was a good meal w/ drinks $30. Our 2nd visit brought our son and his family. Spent around $100 for 6, everyone seemed happy with their dinner, even grandkids were happy. Only complaint was for $16 salad /soup bar was lacking enough options, also soup kettles needed to be cleaned(a little crusty). Our 3rd visit we came in at 6ish. Wasnt really busy, but waited about 15 min to have our order taken. Ordered a chicken fried steak and roast beef dinner. Roast beef beef was really good, but chicken fried steak was really chewy. It did have good taste, but for $19 portion was tiny. There are other ones in the valley that are bigger and less expensive. Overall we will still visit, there are some items we havnt tried yet, and we havnt done breakfast.

Got the country fried steak. It was good. The potatoes were bland and unseasoned. Service was completely awful. Waitress only took our order then brought us our food. Never once saw her again until I got up to get a different drink and ketchup. She didn't even bring us our bill we had to go to the register for that. That was an even worse experience 79.80 for 2 country fried steak dinners and 2 drinks. When it was paid for 138.45 plus their 3 dollar and whatever for using our card. She did refund 79.25 leaving our grand total at 57.25. And to top this entire experience off the young lady that cashed us out acted as if we were the ones that did something wrong.

Have loved deacons in the past but today was HORRIBLE!! So disappointed, no service at all. Food was bland and then I got a dessert and it had literal MOLD in it!!Update: the owner was very nice about the situation and gave me a refund.

My husband and I have eaten here before and enjoyed it. We came back today and thought we may be in time for breakfast but even though we were there right before 11 was told they stopped serving. This was fine with us we decided to look at the lunch menu. Finding nothing that we really wanted we decided we would simply pay for our drinks and take them with us. When we told Lindsey our waitress she got short with us and said that's fine no worries and walked away. We tried to tell her as she was walking away that we wanted to take our drinks and pay for them and she again said no worries and left. Unfortunately she had a really bad attitude so we left our drinks on the table and as we were leaving I mentioned that we had wanted to take the drinks and pay for them. I told her she had been rude. I also asked what her name was and she repeated it twice including telling me she was the boss. Needless to say we will never be returning to this restaurant.

Didn't have enough meat on hand to cover the items on the menu. Ran out of roast beef, etc. What was on hand was good.

This is an amazing and needed Gem in Torrington. Definitely worth the drive. The has a limited menu but hits all the favorites but also has new menu ideas like protein bowls. The soup and salad bar is a art deeply missed since Covid. My only comment would Dorothy Lynch is a WY/NE stable on a salad bar.

I've eaten breakfast at Deacons every morning that it is open for the last 22 years. Personal service and established menus.

All the food is always great but the owner makes homemade pies daily!! If your cruising through Wyoming and happen to hit Torrington, go eat some pie!

I had shrimp tacos on Saturday November 18th. Absolutely delicious!

The potatoes were under seasoned and they mixed up parts of the order between plates. I got part of my order and part of the order of the other person at the table on my plate.Pancakes were fluffy and crispy on the outside. Probably the best part of the meal.

Ordered a Reuben. The corned beef was tough as leather and the sauerkraut was way watered down. Food was served hot. The waitress finally came back to our table about 10 minutes after walking over to the serving area and asking for more tea. The locals seemed to be very pleasant. The restaurant is filthy. The wall next to us looked as if someone spat a loogie on it. There was a fan on top of the wall beside our table that looked like if it was bumped, you’d be covered in grimy dust. Dead bugs in the halfway-working fluorescent lights. See pics. Writing this post, we’re still waiting on our check.
