Great coffee but the star of Bean North is their toasted Panini. Who knew you could turn a humble ham cheese and tomato toastie into crack. Seriously, I cannot stop thinking about it ? The Aurora, Takhini hot springs and ice skating on a lake in the Yukon were great, but I’ll go back to Australia dreaming of Bean North’s Crack Panini.Thank you, you have ruined all future toasties ?

Great service (friendly staff). Great location (out of town and quiet). Great hot drinks. Kid friendly (lots of crayons and paper for toddler to entertain themselves with).I was very disappointed with the veggie panini I ordered. It consisted of two very small pieces of regular bread, a little spread, and a few tomato slices. I expected something a little more hearty for $13-$14 (just google image "veggie panini" to see what I'm talking about). I was shocked that the veggie panini only had one kind of vegetable in it.Summary: Great place to enjoy a hot drink, but you may want to put $13-$14 towards a foot long loaded veggie sub from Subway rather than purchasing a veggie panini from Bean North.UPDATE: Thanks for the response - we will be back. I'm sure our toddler will love to try the outdoor activities!

Such a cute cafe that is located near the hot springs and the wildlife preserve to complete your full day itinerary. The scone was simply delicious. The ambiance is its biggest selling point and truly lovely. If you have the time this would be a peaceful way to enjoy a book as the setting includes multiple seating areas surrounded by a vibrant garden. Very homey and cozy. A good place to also buy some beans for presents.

We were camping at the Takhini Campground and saw that there was a coffee shop within walking distance. I wish they were open a bit earlier, but the coffee and Scones were an awesome treat and way better than the campfire coffee we've been drinking all week.

A full dollar extra for non dairy milks. So I did not try anything. Adding more words to meet the 85 character minimum.

Spent the summer solstice in Whitehorse and area. When my wife and I are travelling we are always on the lookout for good coffee. We were pleasantly surprised when we found Bean North. Even though your power was temporarily out when we were there, you still had enough brewed coffee left for us to enjoy while we sat on your deck. I'm enjoying a cup of your Italian roast in my living room right now.

Writing this review makes me sad, as I have been visiting Bean North for the last 10 years I have lived in the Yukon. The last few times I have visited after our weekend hike at the Wildlife Preserve, I have been disappointed with the new management. My wife and I were very unimpressed last weekend with the new supervisor or manager that has been hired. She is not kind to the staff (in front of customers) and does not appear to want to work as part of a Team. I don't see some of the regular staff that we have gotten to know anymore which makes me think they have moved one which is a shame, as both gals were lovely when we would come in. In a time when it is hard to find entry level staff, this is an interesting business move. I understand Beans is under new ownership but if things continue on this way, I don't know how long the business will last.David and Heather

Good coffee and food but yesterday when I was waiting to say my order a young sweet girl came out and started taking my order, then a manager or owner came out and yelled at her to get in the back. I’m not sure what was happening but it looked like all the girl wanted to do was help take orders. All the baristas look worn out. Makes me sad to know the “new” owners are creating a toxic work environment.

First of all the location is in a magical setting (see the enclosed Google Earth picture) and imagine everything covered in snow. Second, it is located right next to the Yukon Nature Preserve (definitely a must do) and last but certainly not least: Rebecca, Kathleen and Liam were awesome.

After visiting the Yukon Wildlife Preserve we stopped at this cafe in the woods. Great spot, indoor and outdoor seating. We had the Iced Coffee and a cappuccino with a cheese biscuit. very good. I took a bean sandwich (with cheese on it) to go, staff advised me to grill it when I was ready to eat it. The service was very friendly. Worth the drive.

I had a great cup of coffee there, and some good cookies too.

Our experience today was disappointing to say the least. What looked like it had the potential to be cute and fun turned out to be weird. My phone to head the day before to make sure they serve sandwiches. They said they did and so we rode our bikes out to this remote coffee shop expecting to be fed but the server said they stop serving sandwiches at 2:30. It was 2:45. And there was a couple sandwiches sitting in the cooler but because it was after 2:30 we weren't allowed to have any. You would think that they might mention this on the phone when I'm asking them specifically about sandwiches! Secondly I said they serve decaf coffee and the response was yes so when I went to order a decaf cappuccino the other server said we're out of decaf. What kind of a coffee shop that roasts coffee doesn't have decaf coffee? Very disappointed. Would not recommend! No one apologized, just offered a bagel toasted, which is what we had. We also had a cookie that was probably a couple of days old and did not taste good
